Hi, I took my son on an impromptu trip to San Diego for his fourth birthday. And we had dinner at the Corvette diner, the little high-pressure because he’s a picky eater, and my phone was about to die, and we had to take an Uber. But we had the best time in the very short and hurried dinner that we had. Gloria was our server and she was amazing! And their birthday celebration was fantastic, the dancing was great, the ambience was great. I mean the food was you know classic diner, Pleasant they’re definitely not healthy. And we had so much fun so glad we stopped there! Highly recommend for kids!

Did they change the menu? I was looking forward to order the macho nacho burger, did they remove it from the menu?

I threw up in the parking lot right after eating here.

Food seemed old and service was slow.

Our booth had a broken TV and one glass of water had black residue.

Edit: Initially a one star but management followed up and were professional about my concerns.

Really cool 50's atmosphere. Corvette part of the atmosphere. Great service. Food good. I had the California Dream which was a great chicken sandwich with guacamole, green chilis; lettuce; tomato and onion. My daughter had the blast sandwich and her boyfriend had the DeeDee Burger with a root beer shake. The blast was bacon lettuce avocado Swiss cheese and turkey. I am originally from San Diego and this restaurant use to be in Central San Diego. This new location has more parking but I miss the coziness of the old location .We came to San Diego for a couple days to visit family and eat at some favorite restaurants.

Service and atmosphere was great . The food prices and quantity was poor. The burger and upgrade from fries to four onion rings was not that tasty and quantity of onion rings pretty sad. $35 for a burger and four onion rings and a dr,pepper soda ridicoulously overpriced especially if the meat was frozen and four onion rings. Greedy owners. Will not dine here ever again. The staff was great but it left impression of greedy owners living off past reputation when it was a good restaurant at a different location.

Milkshakes are overpriced and more than half of the cup is whipped cream. Food comes out cold. The workers look like they hate their life. Will not be coming back!

Fun diner themed restaurant. My kids had a blast with the environment food was solid and classic diner fare. The staff helpful, kind, and attentive. Don't miss out on the shakes.

My husband and I celebrated his birthday by enjoying a late lunch at this fun restaurant! I ordered the chicken parmesan dinner and my husband ordered the meatloaf dinner. The food was very good; the chicken parmesan was delicious, and I had leftovers to take home as well!

The restaurant is decorated in a '50s style, complete with a DJ, a dance break performed by the waitresses, and fun decorated rooms, complete with an arcade in the back!

Our server, Gloria, was fabulous and she had us cracking up. She brought out a scoop of ice cream with a candle in it and the waiters and waitresses sang a birthday song for my husband which was fun!

We thought the prices were normal for the meals we received.

If you are in the San Diego area, we highly recommend checking out Corvette diner, If nothing else just for the ambiance!

I’ve been here a few times over the years, but this visit was special because I was taking my 19 month old granddaughter for the first time, who loves to sing and dance. It was a Thursday night, beginning of October and we got right in. The manager was working the hostess stand, which speaks volumes about the business. Our waitress Gloria was amazing, you can tell she loves her job and is having a blast. She made the experience exactly what I was looking for, a break from busy life and a happy and fun time. The prices were good as well and the food was all delicious. As a business woman, I loved seeing the manager also carrying a bin full of dirty dishes, he was helping his team and when you have a great manager, it’s easy to love your job and your coworkers. My granddaughter had fun as well, she was in awe! I’ll be back with her again for sure, thank you!
