Host was super welcoming and helpful with any questions. Had a great relaxing time. Stayed in room 11. Quiet but definitely heard some odd noises and never felt alone, not threatened, just not alone. If you know, you know

We got to stay in room #11, and we loved our experience. Dee was amazing and informative. The service at the bar in the courtroom was exceptional! Highly recommend trying this place out, especially the scones šŸ˜‹

We had a fantastic stay at the Cosmopolitan. The room as well as the rest of the hotel was delightfully authentic. The staff was absolutely top notch. We are talking old school hospitality. It was located right there in old town, such a perfect spot.

This was our 6th time staying here. We love this hotel and the staff. We only stay here when we visit San Diego. The rooms are beautiful. We highly recommend

We booked a room last minute and we couldn’t be happier with it. It was our first stay in a historical hotel and that alone added a lot the experience. Our room was clean and had a huge bathtub. I can definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a somewhat different experience.

Noteworthy details: They have coffee and scones in the morning.

My husband and I stayed the night and we loved it. Dee was wonderful to us. He truly went above and beyond for us. He put a fridge in our room for a cake we had, he got us a table at Casa Del Reyes for my party. He truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. As for the room, it was cute and the room was so quiet. We had a great time.

I make it a point to stay at the Cosmopolitan every year in October. Dee and the rest of the staff make you feel very welcome. Staying there makes you feel like you've gone back in time to a simpler time. Can't wait to get back for my next stay.

Beautiful hotel with great hospitality and a lot of history. My friend and I stayed in room #10, hoping to have a spooky experience. We experienced a flickering light and the feeling of goosebumps. The breakfast is from 8-10 and scones are a must!

This is a historic hotel in Old Town State Historic Park and done very well. We enjoyed the Happy Hour in the courtyard before setting out for the evening. Walking distance to Whaley House, graveyard, Heritage County Park, and of course, all the history in the Park itself. We went during October when all of Old Town was decorated for Dia de los Muertos and it was beautiful!

My wife and I stayed in room #9.
We loved it! We felt very relaxed. Beautiful room with high ceilings. It was decked out with periodish furniture. My wife loved the old blinding white (claw foot?) bathtub and took 4 bathes! Our breakfast was excellent. I was very impressed with Dee's historical knowledge of the place and obvious passion for the old building. We had 3 small experiences that were unusual and not easily explainable. We detected no malevolence and found it very easy to sleep. Anyway, we were able to experience a little of old San Diego history, mystique and I recommend this hotel to everyone

Nearby activities: This hotel is throwing distance to the finest Mexican food I've ever eaten.
I'm not a foody guy but I know a little of what foodies experience now

My wife and I stayed in room 11 for the ā€œhauntingā€ experience. It was fantastic! We always felt like something or someone was there. In the wee small hours of the morning, I did feel someone or something on the side of me in the bed - freaked me out!
This place is awesome vintage, in an amazing location, the staff is phenomenal, and it’s fantastic how you get an actual metal key for your room and for the front gate to leave the property (gives you a sense of power and integrity). We will definitely be going back for the next ā€œhauntedā€ room in this place and look forward to sharing some more memorable moments here!!
