Place feels stuck in the late 90’s.
Food-wise left a lot to desire. The pan con tomate had fridge cold tomato spread and stale bread. The croquetas de jamón tasted bland. The gallegan octopus was boiled, chewy and flavorless. The patatas brava had a pretty bad spicy alioli. The sangria tasted like nothing and couldn’t even serve it in a wine glass. The arroz negro tasted flavorless, didn’t have even a micrometer of socarrat and was extremely bland, I don’t believe they use paella rice.
The steak tasted boiled and had an inexistent sear. The jamón ibérico and serrano were completely bland and tasteless, probably extremely bad quality.
Overall, if you are really craving Spanish food: don’t come to this place, you’ll leave mad and will not get rid of your crave. This was recommended to me as the best Spanish restaurant in SD. Now I’m unsure whether I’ll be able to have decent Spanish food in SD at all.
PS. I’m unsure if the other reviewers have ever been to Spain and have tasted somewhat even decent Spanish food.
Insult to Spain and Spanish food.

Cute enough restaurant. Metal table and chairs. Could benefit with a table cloth. Garlic mushrooms were very good. Bread was nice. The croquet Jamon was unremarkable. The paella mixta was good but lacked the saffron flavor, and there was zero socarrat. Plenty of chicken, sausage, and seafood. It was good but not great.

Overall it was ok, but the rice was too salty, definitely put too much salt in it.

**"Disappointing Experience Overall**
I recently dined here and was quite disappointed with the experience. The food was consistently overcooked and overpriced. The paella, in particular, was poorly prepared with the rice being undercooked and the rest of the dish overcooked. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

This restaurant has expanded a lot since the last time I've been here years prior. We were seated in the back patio where there was live music and heaters on.
Dinner was a bit pricey because you're not getting much food since it's about $9-15 per tapas. We ordered a variety of cold and hot tapas.
I think that their food is hit or miss. We like the croquetas, bacon wrapped dates, and mushrooms dishes. The $20 oxtail was fatty and the octopus was disappointingly chewy. The calamari was limp.
The red sangria was pretty good and we ordered a pitcher of it. The creme brulee dessert was delicious.
Service was good. Our waiter did a great job with our group and made suggestions on the orders.

The music inside was a bit loud. We couldn't even hear the waitress. The food was delicious.

Tapaz were good sized portions for a taste of everything. love this style of eating. The sangria is a must order especially during the happy hour. Really good bang for your buck. Will be coming back!

I don’t know what gives. I’ve been here several times. The service is great. The waiters are nice and very attentive. Food is amazing as well as the drinks but this last time we went were disappointed. Their where roaches crawling up in the wall and rat a passing by. We were seated middle part of the restaurant just before you go outside.
Again the service and food I dig but I hope they can take care of the roaches and rats.

This is probably my favorite restaurant in San Diego. Great food, great service and the most charming atmosphere. This is a definite place we take visitors for a delicious authentic tapas experience.
