We have enjoyed going to this Restaurant since my granddaughter was 6 months old. They spoiled her by getting a great chair to accommodate her car seat. She will be celebrating 🍾 her quincera this January. They always finish her dinner with creme burlee, bacon wrapped dates, patatas Ala Brava. My husband loves their Spanish beers. I enjoy the sangria. If you want great service, great food and drinks. Hubby loves enjoying watching the futbol games... this is ⚽️ soccer in the states.

I came with my family of four for lunch here and it was absolutely delicious. We ordered a paella, filet mignon, and the porterhouse steak—all of which tasted great. We ordered several appetizers but each portion fit perfectly, each coming in small rounded plates. Overall I would definitely come visit again.

I love walking into this place. It feels authentic. However we had a very weird experience here. We did not know what wine to order so the waiter highly recommended a $62 bottle of red wine. We decided to go for it. When he brought it to the table to uncork it the cork fell apart. We thought the wine tasted like vinegar. We let him know and he proceeded to pour himself a full glass and brought it back to the owner. The owner came out and said we basically didn’t know what we were talking about. We reluctantly gave up and just drank the bottle, minus the glass he took. We did not fight it as we should have. This is the epitome of bad customer service. We got no break on the bill. And… as we were about to leave we saw a rat scamper across the restaurant. Such a shame as I have been frequenting this restaurant for years and I am sad this has happened.

Would order again:
- oxtail tapa
- escargo tapa
- ensalada verde (simple but nice to get some greens)
Might order again:
- salsa verde clam special
- seafood stuffed peppers
Will not order again:
- octopus tapa; some bites were extremely salty
- rabbit tapa; too salty + the rabbit was tougher than expected

We were a family of four. After the waiter suggested we order tapas, we did. The tapas were OK, but I felt overpriced. The shrimp tapas were doused in oil. After ordering 12 tapas for me and my 2 daughters, we were left somewhat hungry. Purchasing their bread appetizer/tapa was a complete waste of money. In general, given the amount of money spent on those tapas, we were disappointed by the small portions.
My husband ordered a fish entree for about 2 1/2 times the cost of 1 tapa and he said it was satisfying and delicious.
*If we were to go here again, we'd only order entrees.
The cheesecake dessert was out of this world! The outdoor patio was nice and the live music was enjoyable. The service was great too.
The entree, dessert, ambiance, and service earned 5 stars. The tapas and the cost of the tapas, at best, 3 stars. Hence, a 4 star review. ****

Hidden gem of Pacific Beach but if you’re a local you know. Best tapas in town the sangria is to live for and the service is 5 stars no matter who you are they treat you like VIP. Great for dates or just meeting some friends. Can’t say enough good things about Costa Brava!!!
