The Crest Cafe has not had a lot of recent reviews, so I will give a brief update. We visited in the late afternoon when it was not very busy. Service was friendly with our server offering advice on the expansive menu. Overall, the food was outstanding. We ordered two omelettes and two burgers. The omelettes were tasty with perfectly cooked and seasoned eggs and other ingredients melded together on the grill. The accompanying home fries and toast rounded out the filling meal. Our burgers were made with fresh charbroiled beef. Ground turkey and garden burgers are also offered. On top of that, there are around 15 builds. Burger heaven! Our burgers were worthy but the patties were a little dry. I had the butter burger and it was not the juicy, butter oozing goodness highlighted on Triple D. Overall, the food quality is a great value for the money. The restaurant is clean and the bathrooms immaculate. The cafe has a local vibe with postings and literature on events going on in the lively Hillcrest neighborhood.

The main reason for trying this food was because way back in the day, Guy Fieri came here so we ordered what he ordered! We got the Butter Burger (Half pound of ground beef stuffed with garlic, tarragon, basil & parsley butter. Topped with cheddar cheese and garlic mayonnaise) with a side of onion rings and the Creme Brulee French Toast. Both were actually pretty good! The onion rings were a bit light but the taste made up for it! Nice pick Guy!

Although it’s a nice café with servers that are very enjoyable. The food was a bit disappointing. Almost every dish had some type of extra ingredient that did not match with what the dish was supposed to be with these prices as high as they are we had no choice but to eat, but leaving very unsatisfied.

Maybe the best omelette I've had and James the server was pretty busy but he was amazing an attentive to everybody in the place and made you feel like you're part of the family definitely will be back soon!

We ate here September 19th. Ordered a hamburger and salad which was delicious.
However, our server was sniffy with a haughty attitude. She didn't refill drinks willingly. Nor did she seem to appreciate our business.
Sadly we were assaulted outside by the restaurant by one of the many unhoused people in the area. He yelled at us. Thew his drinks on us and other diners seated outside. Our server said nothing and didn't even offer extra napkins to clean ourselves off.
The food is very tasty. Your server with the black hair needs to work somewhere else. Her attitude stinks.
