My fav little spot to visit for lunch whenever I get into SD. The loaded oysters, I had both styles, and Catch of the day was delish and filling.

Side note: If you are on GLP-1 user or have a smaller stomach, this is a perfect spot to fill up and not feel over-stuffed. Catch of the Day is my recommendation.

Crudo Ceviche & Oyster Bar – Little Italy, San Diego
June 2025

Overall: 😻/5 –
I’d barely wiped the tears from missing Ironside’s 5pm happy hour when Crudo welcomed me in like a long-lost cousin—with smiles and a happy hour that stretched graciously to 5:30. Bless ’em.

Rosé – $8
🌟 5/5
Chilled like a front porch in springtime and just as refreshing. Fruity, bright, not too sweet—gave my mood (and outfit) the lift it needed.

A Dozen Oysters – $1.50 each
🌟 3/5
Now listen. I don’t know where these oysters came from—and honestly, I’m not sure they did either. Half had suspicious thick white bits near the root that threw off my taste buds…. But that house-made mignonette? A redemption arc. A bit flustered there wasn’t horseradish, but for the price? Still steal.

Shrimp Cocktail – $12
🌟 5/5
I expected poolside shrimp and cocktail sauce. What I got was nearly ceviche—10 plump shrimp bathed in bright tomato sauce, chilled with cucumber, avocado, red onion, fresh tomato, and attitude. Absolutely delightful. Would reorder without hesitation.

Citrus Yellowtail Tostada – $22
🌟 4.5/5
A beautiful tostada that came seared, citrus-kissed, and plated like it had a secret. Savory, fresh, and elegant. The white sauce leaned towards mayo, which isn’t my belle of the ball—but it didn’t ruin the dance.

Truly warm, attentive, and unrushed. They turned a missed happy hour into a happy accident. It’s giving ❤️

If you like oysters, this is the best in town during Happy Hours. Haven't tried Baja oysters before, but they are juicy and tender. Compare to another restaurant couple doors down with a huge octopus in their dining room, this is a steal.

Their regular menu is fine but not as attractive.

I definitely would go again.

Don’t get the desserts, save it for next door salt and straw ice cream. The fig bread I got was so small and flat like a mini pancake with 0 enthusiastic presentation. The waitress said it was supposed to have ice cream on top but they were out, so you’d think they would discount it but they didn’t. I wish I could have taken a picture but the dúo tostada was over all good

Nice spot to pop in for early happy hour- great aguichiles and elevated bites. Excellent oysters but only one variety and served with just mignonette and lemon. Drink selection is fine.

Excellent overall, though the shucker on deck on Monday could have taken a few more lessons? Which may have resulted in less broken shell pieces in the oysters … The bartender was awesome!!

it was okay, more overpriced than what it's worth, the carajillo was perfect, food was just alright thought it was lacking in flavor

Wonderful food, sat outside. Our waiter Leo also was extremely attentive. Great vibes, great food. Would reccomend the Ceviche Mixto, and also the octopus carpaccio. Great place in little Italy.
Please do not get the Yellowtail Traditio, it made me throw up. The yellowtail was not fresh and had an extremely fishy taste. If we had not gotten it. The meal would have been 5⭐️.

What a great place. Our waiter was fantastic, and the soft shell crab taco was a definite hit. I feel in love with sauce for the raw oysters. We will return this trip.

Overall, the experience was fine. The food was fresh; however, when you order, know that your $30+ salmon you order comes with nothing and is very small. No options for sides or warning that your entree is very basic and small. When we said we were slightly disappointed that it was so basic, the waiter said, “Take it up with the chef, not me”. Horrible staff, and the poor girl at the front counter seems to have no life left in her. 100% don’t recommend when there are so many amazing options in the neighborhood.

Super fresh oysters, amazing flavors, and great vibes! Everything was perfectly shucked and the sauces were delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the whole experience felt relaxed but upscale. Can’t wait to come back for more!

Crudo is one of those rare spots that delivers both incredible food and an experience you remember. Every dish feels like a love letter to Baja—fresh, vibrant, and full of bold, clean flavors. The ceviche and aguachile were perfectly balanced, with bright citrus and just the right amount of heat. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite.

The service was just as memorable—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. It made the whole visit feel welcoming and relaxed. And with Crudo tucked into beautiful Little Italy, the location adds even more charm to the experience.

Thank you to the team at Crudo for such an amazing meal—we’ll definitely be back
