I saw the great reviews about culinary dropout, and wanted to try it out today. The food and staff were great. My waitress Jaque was super nice and friendly. This will definitely be my new spot!

Noisy place. It took 50 minutes for the food to arrive. The dishes were completely forgettable. One of the tipping options was 40%!
I think we lost our way.

Good food, vibes and service.
Original take on many dishes. Live entertainment. Food was well prepared. Feta and Tahini dip (humus with a kick). Baked Salmon, Cacio e Pepe with Chicken. All good. Sports on TVs.

We enjoyed our lunch at Culinary Dropout. It's located in a very nice area which is easy to get to from the freeway. The wait staff was pretty friendly. It wasn't busy when we were there, which was nice. The restaurant has a lot of seating. It's relaxing and inviting. I don't recommend "yesterday's soup". It's way overpriced for what you get. The turkey pastrami sandwich is really good. My husband and I shared one sandwich and there was plenty for both of us.
Such a hidden gem in plain sight. The ambiance and energy is great right when you walk in. Our server, Jeremiah, was a star - he gave amazing suggestions (seriously, saving the pretzel cheese to dip our fries in was an ultimate veteran tip), was super attentive, and made our dinner even better. The food was superb, as were the drinks. 100/10

Chris, the manager, was incredibly engaging and ensured that our server, Joe, was attentive to our needs. Joe is so personable and delivered great We thoroughly enjoyed our food and appreciated the social and kind demeanor of your staff. The space itself is impressive—it's large yet manages to feel very inviting.
I hope the business continues to thrive and becomes a frequent destination for San Diegans. It is a great place to take the family, watch sports, or meet a friend.

I feel so bad I wanted to love this place but it’s an expensive fast food restaurant. We were in and out in 12 minutes flat with drinks apps and even fried chicken. Nothing was hot it was all cold or warm. You could tell it was all premade in the back waiting for the order to be placed. Server was attentive but I didn’t have the heart to tell her the food was not great. I ate it anyways but I regret paying $80 plus tip for this dinner.
This was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had. Live music was great and the servers were amazing. 10/10

Pretzel and Brussels sprouts were divine. Margaritas were just okay. Service was very good, but it was a bit loud. I would go back and try it again.

Used to live in the area and went back for a Happy Hour with friends. Great menu, fun atmosphere and really liked the openness and restaurant layout.
