The food here was so good. I had to visit again due to the yummy food. The owner was a very young and energetic entrepreneur and gave us great service. Give it a try if you are passing by or work/ live in that area.

Great food, so delicious!! Loved the variety of meats! We had chicken, goat, yak and it was all delicious! My kids were excited to try new foods and we enjoyed everything. We’re looking forward to coming back and trying more. The service was so friendly and attentive and the ambiance was fun. ???? lots of vegan options too.

It was my time trying veg steam and fried momos. Oh my godness delicious garlicky finger licking good. I asked for spicy dynamitie sauce and the lady with glasses on counter was such a sweet lady she gave me extra. Chillie sauce is soo good, infact all sauces are their own home made. Love love love?

Undiscovered restaurant. Very good. Please visit this place to support the nice staff and cook.Better than most Indian and Nepalese and himalayan restaurants I've been to.Spice was at the level requested (spicy), but pretty sure could be made mild.We got the momos, the okra (which was a good cultivar and cooking of okra without the typical okra shards), the eggplant/potato dish (which had a nice hint of smokiness), and the goat curry.Mango lassi was good. Tea was good (high in caffeine, low in sugar).Reasonably priced when we went. Not crowded. Nice atmosphere/music.

Vegetarian options available. Service wasn't at it's best. Had to ask server multiple times for service.

Although I was a returning customer, I will never come back to this restaurant again!! Horrible service, even though there were only 2 tables ahead of us! The food looked appetizing but severely lacked salt. I get it… salt is based on personal taste but there were no salt shakers on tables. We ordered 6 dishes and were provided with 3 napkins. No one checked on us throughout the meal. When it came time to checkout and we asked for more boxes and something to pack the naan, we were told to SHOVE and squish the naan into a tiny a** container! Abhorrent and not worth it. The lack of customer service and care, lost a returning customer. Also the toilets were DISGUSTING and filthy!!! Save your money and time… plenty more deserving Indian restaurants in the city!

This is a hidden gem. Food is amazing with options for everyone. Even that vegan friend you have to plan for every time you go out will be happy. It's well priced for such high-quality food. Parking was okay, and there was no wait. It's a pretty big place, and seating is spread out to give you a lot of room. The atmosphere was a bit more like a catering hall, but it was still good for dining in.The one small negative was that the bathroom was a little under cleaned and serviced. (Water on the floor)Overall, Dancing Yak's food was awesome, and everyone needs to check it out for themselves!Vegetarian options: Vegan optionsParking: Busy plazaKid-friendliness: Room for kids to run around. Was recommended the Goat Nepali Thali by the staff and it was great. Highly recommend. Girlfriend got the buttered chicken and it was amazing.

TRULY OUTSTANDING cuisine being served in this Mira Mesa location. We tried the vegetable biryani, chicken curry, cheese naan, samosas, and yellow daal.We were on our way back from a hike in North County and decided to look for a new spot to try in the new year. I couldn't have been happier with the selection. Every single dish was bursting with flavor, and was perfectly balanced. we ordered far more food than we thought we would eat, and ended up only bringing a small amount of the biryani home - which, by the way, was an enormous portion. The chicken curry sauce was so freaking tasty I forced myself to eat the last piece of cheese naan to stop up every little bit even though I was already stuffed to the max. There were several menu items that I am not familiar with from my culinary adventures. I am especially curious about the MoMo, a dumpling dish, which looks like it can be served steamed or in a soup. Already planning a trip back to try it.I am a little worried because we were the only people dining in the restaurant the whole time. I did see a couple folks come in for takeout orders. This place is too good to let it fail, y'all need to get out there and give it a try!! San Diego really needs places like this to round out it's culinary diversity.

We ordered thali and chicken wings. The food was not tasty. Service was ok. Lack of Cleanliness was another issue. I think they should improve the food quality and cleanliness.

We had goat thali, chicken thali, and himalayan wings. They ran out of momos but we were surprised to see guests who arrived after us being served momos because the server catered to them sooner. Service definitely could've been better. The thalis tasted great but missed a few quintessential Nepali thali items like aloo tama (black eyed peas soup with potato and fermented bamboo shoots), and had only one type of dal - a watery yellow dal.The wings tasted better with the extra sauce wiped off with the napkin.
