We stopped to eat after visiting Little Italy Farmers Market. We sat outside so that we could hear the live music from the street performer at the market. We got the pesto con pollo panini - first of all the bread was amazing, chicken was juicy and flavorful, veggies and sauce were fresh! Great pair with the escarole salad. We also got the cacio e pepe spaghetti - such a simple dish with bold flavors. The passion fruit aperol was very refreshing, the fresh fruit was a nice touch.

I had a late lunch, mostly a satisfying experience. I was weeknight and initially served quickly, by the brisket sandwich was a bit slow in being served. I think done some staff were on break. Good meal. The brisket sandwich was a special. Nice atmosphere. I sat at the bar. I'd certainly return. I walked to the restaurant.

I stumbled in this place during happy hour looking for food and wine. Got both, and neither disappointed.

While we were super excited to try this restaurant it left us feeling very disappointed. As soon as I received my Cacio e Pepe I found a black hair in it (my husband and I both have light colored hair so wasn’t ours). I was instantly grossed out and alerted my waiter. He didn’t act surprised or all that sympathetic but said he’d make me a new one. When the bill came my husband asked if my food would be taken off due to the hair in my food, the waiter responded in a non empathetic voice that they had “already made me a fresh meal and that’s all they would do for it.” No apology from the waiter, but we didn’t argue and just paid the bill. Needless to say this place gave me the ick and we won’t be going back.

This place was recommended to us by a San Diegan and she was spot on with her suggestions every single thing we tried was amazing, and you may asked why did I ordered a burger while in little Italy but it was the best bit ever eating ...definitely will come back on my next trip ... AAA++
