Menu is below average in size. Had the Bolonese and added sausage. Sausage were not links and that was not explained. The Bolonese was not traditional at all. I make better at home. I would have rather gone to Olive Garden. The bright point was that the service was amazing as far as the waiter. We had a party of 8 adults and two children. None of the meals came out together. I blame that on the kitchen staff. The birthday girl got her meal 15 minutes after everyone else. And the others came out in 3 stages. Changes need to be made badly!
We got sat in the covered but outside portion and b it was way to cold. Even with the heaters on.

I want to personally thank the staff and owner for going above a beyond our dinner last night.. I take my 80 year old neighbors out every month for dinner. The gentleman is handicapped and cannot hear, the lovely lady cannot see very well. I sent a very brief note to the restaurant letting them know. The owner greeted us upon arrival and let this couple pick where ever they wanted to sit.. They helped with the menus and were so gracious to them. My little couple had the best night!! Thank you Thank you for being so lovely to them! This place is a true gem and a rare find!! Great food!! Great customer service and great aptomohere!!

Food was underwhelming. Calamari portion was very small for $18. Hot honey pepp pizza was also very small for $22 and undercooked in the center. Unable to eat without a knife and fork, we should of sent it back. It did have good flavor. The pasta dish (Orecchiette Con Salsiccia) was on the salty side and the sauce seeemed corn starch heavy. The place was crowded and it looked like a lot of regulars frequent it. My wife and I wouldn't return. Too many options that are far better for the price.

Best restaurant in San Diego! I’ve come back here so many times, I’ve lost count. Everything is delicious, but I really recommend the focaccia, gnuddi, vodka pasta, carne pizza, and the Brussels!

My wife and I very much enjoyed our dinner at Davanti. The place was very lively as it was a Friday evening. They have a great menu with many items I would like to sample over time. They also have an extensive cocktail menu. I had an excellent chicken dish while my wife had one of their many good pasta dishes. We will be back.

Had a fun small company dinner here. The cocktails were good, their wine list is impressive, and several of the dishes were excellent while others were on par with what you would see at similar restaurants. Would definitely be happy to go back.

So I would have given this restaurant 4 stars but the food was just ok. Service was good. My big bone I had to pick is I left my wallet at the restaurant. I’m kind of bothered that nobody took the time to look at the open table reservation and give me a call. That’s just lazy and bad business. I will not be dining here again.

Davanti’s has become my favorite Italian restaurant. The service, the drinks and especially the food is amazing. If you are ever in Delmar are going to Cinepolis for a movie we had to stop by Devanti‘s for a bite before or after the movie

My first time here was a couple days ago. The food was good. I was alone so I sat at the bar. The bartender was awesome. Nice respectful guy with a good personality. Today 11/8/25 at 4pm I find myself with a bartender that was without any personality and in my opinion rude. She acted like it was a chore to service customers. In the future I won’t come here if she is behind the bar.
