The bread with the cheese in the middle and the honey is divine. The mussels were excellent. The lemon chicken, spaghetti and meatball and cauliflower were just so-so. Not a ton of good flavors. I would go here all day long for the first two dishes and a drink, but for an actual dinner, I'd try someplace new. I didn't order their ragu, but it usually is also great.

This was a special birthday occasion and each of our meals were better than we imagined. The restaurant was full & lively. We were greeted, seated & well cared for by the owners and excellent staff. Best lobster, best mussels and my linguine was delicious. Thank you Davanti Enoteca for a perfect dinner and Enzo’s Tiramisu dessert.

This was our first visit, but our friends brought us because they had been to the Little Italy location. Highly recommend! Relaxed at mid-afternoon, really delicious food. Focaccia de Recco lived up to its reputation!

Love their Happy Hour menu. Food is pretty good and it's a great deal for HH. Have to sit in the bar area but there were plenty of tables, all high tops. We did make a reservations. We like getting their special of $28 for a nice charcuterie board with a bottle of house wine. Also recommend the ricotta with honey, the liver pate, margherita pizza, and bruschettas off the HH menu. The food off the regular menu is also very good. We really like the ragu with creamy polenta dish.

The restaurant was not busy, which was good because I only saw one server. For some reason, they served the appetizers at the same time as the main courses. The food was well cooked and hot on arrival. The red pepper flakes placed on the table were the mildest I have had.

We had a lovely brunch at Davani Enoteco. We used to come here often when my son was at UCSD, and were pleased to find that it is still open. And it’s wonderful. Our favorite is the Focaccia with Italian cheese and honey. Delicious and just how we remember it. We all had an egg dish and they were all perfectly cooked. And we also shared a pizza. Hey, we were hungry after a long morning hike. Great service. Plenty of free parking. A wonderful stop not far from the highway.
