I have been a loyal customer of this establishment since its previous iteration as ChatTime. I was pleased to see it continue as a boba shop when it transitioned to DaYung. I am assuming it is by a different owner. As a frequent customer, I typically order the same two drinks for me and my mom.
Upon reviewing my recent bank statement, I noticed an unexpected additional transaction. I visited the shop today at approximately 12:30 PM to inquire about this possible discrepancy with two employees, a guy and girl. I expressed my concern regarding the possibility of a fraudulent charge or maybe a computer error on their part.
She explained that she was unable to access transaction records from two weeks ago. I understand this limitation given my own experience in the retail and food service industries. As a goodwill gesture, I politely requested a complimentary drink as compensation for the inconvenience, given my intention to place my usual order. This request was unfortunately declined.
She then contacted the owner and provided him with my phone number, stating he would reach out to me directly. After waiting ten minutes for a call, I inquired about the status of the owner's response. I was surprised that she had not informed me of any updates.
She then presented a photograph of a previous transaction, which I clarified was not associated with my recent visit. I subsequently provided her with images of the relevant transactions from my bank statement, which she took pictures of and forwarded to the owner.
After a prolonged wait, I ultimately decided to leave the establishment due to the lack of resolution and the overall unsatisfactory customer service experience. I believe that addressing a discrepancy involving a relatively small amount should not have proven so challenging.
Given the abundance of alternative boba shops in the area, I will be taking my business elsewhere. For those seeking high-quality milk tea with soft fresh boba, I recommend DaBoba, literally located a couple of minutes away. Additionally, The Alley and Gongcha are excellent options for those seeking iced tea beverages.
Great milk tea! I love their roasted oolong milk tea, highly recommended it.

The brown sugar babo tea tastes pretty bad. It was good before but recently they add too many water and no milk taste at all. Never go back again.

OMG their dragon fruit boba drink is so refreshing and delicious. Order from the kiosk and enjoy the drink to go or inside the cafe atmosphere.
Parking: The parking lot is always busy and people drive crazy.

It is a nice place to try a variety of tea in various tastes : orange, pineapple, strawberry, and more. We liked the passion fruit beauty tea, which has a delicious taste. It was a bit expensive for the quantity served.Should have small servings, too.

This was the worst boba tea experience I've ever had. I ordered a Royal Oolong milk tea with no ice, but I got one with ice floating on it. The waitress said there would be ice for no ice options. This was strange, since there was no ice option printed on the menu and the sticker, and she didn’t mention anything after I ordered. She insisted that it was impossible, but we later discovered that she had given my friend's "less ice" drink the same amount of ice.Since I couldn't drink an iced drink, I asked her to remake it hot. This time, on purpose or not, she made it with no sugar, even though I had ordered 30% sugar both times. She claimed that Oolong tea would be bitter even with sugar, but this was obviously a lie, since there was definitely no sugar in the tea at all. She refused to remake it again, saying that she had already remade it once.I don’t have such experience before. The waitress made two mistakes, not the customer, and then she refused to fix them with blatant lies and bad attitude.

The drinks we got were pretty good but the ordering is at a kiosk and the already expensive drinks will also include a service fee and an operation fee.

Been going to DaYung's Tea for quite a while, both their Scripps Ranch and Kearny Mesa locations. Their fruit teas are generally very good; my favorites are the pink beauty and pineapple green tea. I got the fresh fruit tea this time around, but it kinda just tasted like orange juice. The boba is usually sweet and chewy, but the past time the boba seemed to be unsweetened. This is a good spot for both fruit tea and milk tea, but the prices are quite high, even with the large sizes. Overall this is a good place for a drink if you're in the area, but only if it's in budget.
