Great atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff. Ordered the sour and deft de garde. Had a delicious white pizza as well
Great beer, friendly staff, awesome service! Highly recommended.
The only problem is that on the weekends this place is too popular. It can actually be hard to find parking or seating. But the food, drinks, lines music, and general vibe is phenomenal. It seems like every time I come I plan on having a quick bite but end up staying for hours.
I love this place, Deft brewery is one of 4 businesses adjacent to each other. One can order a pint and grab a salad pizza or sandwich at pizza cassette. The variety of beer is incredible, from pilsners to IPAs if you so feel inclined. I highly recommend this spot when in the USD/Morena area
These folks know beer! Great Marzen and dunkelweiss...absolutely delicious. Definitely worth a stop for San Diego brew tourists.
We had a fantastic experience here. Walked in to a packed place with live music around 6:30 on a Saturday evening. I finally understood why people always talk about SD weather being perfect!
The food here was absolutely brilliant too. Good German beer, Good Food, Live music, and board games for little ones... what else can one ask for?
Drinks were self-serve, but food was delivered to our table within 20 mins, in-spite of the place being super busy. The produce and pizza was fresh!
Noise levels on the higher end, so conversing became slightly difficult as the evening progressed, but manageable.
Highly recommend this place to beer, wine, and people who like to have fun in general!
Amazing brewery, they have super quality ales and the service is great. Definitely became one of our favourites to go for a pint.
Very nice and cozy place. We had some beer and pizzas and everything was delicious. The only thing is that the place closes very early, in my town a place that serves beer always closes later. But I had a very pleasant time and the staff were very friendly and kind.
Awesome pizza 🍕 the beer, mead tasting and wines are delicious!
Great shared space. There's something for almost anyone.

Interesting concept for a brewery, focusing on European styles and unique takes on some traditional ones. Owner and head brewer is clearly passionate and was chatting it up with some friends over a few beers. If I was a local I’d swing through regularly. Pretty cool location inside a “Biergarten” with a winery and meadery as well as a pizza shop. Bartender didn’t know a whole lot about the beers but she was nice enough. I came for the cask but was told it’s only a Monday thing, which is an odd day for it. Will come back to try it one day, hopefully, bc you really don’t find it outside of the UK.
Great beers, one of the best tripels I’ve had in a while, great atmosphere
The beer garden has a really great laid back atmosphere and the stouts and pilsners are all fantastic. The pizza is super delicious, they use a brick oven with a really good ingredients.
Very nice brewery with a large selection of beer where everyone can find something to their taste. The “German” varieties were also very well done and tasty. Service was very friendly and competent, the atmosphere inside and in the beer garden was very nice. Anytime again 👍
Beers were decent but not mindblowing. All Belgian and English style, with a diverse range. Location is great though, with Pizza Casette serving delicious pies in the courtyard.
