I gave 5 stars because this donut shop is located in a sweet area of downtown San Diego. Also, the service is great. You go to the window and choose the donuts you want . The best donuts I have ever had! I tried the vanilla bean, the Homer, sugar coated, and blood orange . Each were uniquely delicious. The dough is soft, airy , dense and rich in flavor. The “dough density” is (in my opinion) the highlight of a true donut made with quality ingredients and by the hands...
We were driving by and finally gave this place shot, considering I’ve had it bookmarked for years. Let me preface that I’m an unofficial donut connoisseur. These are some pretty solid donuts.
