I celebrated my birthday at downtown sushi and it was very special. The moment I entered the restaurant, the host greeted me with a smile and accommodated seat preference. Also, Chef Ruthi (sushi chef) made a very personalized fire roll for me. All the food and drinks (especially the margarita) here are very amazing. The service as well is 10/10 would highly recommend!

Came here on a Friday night! It was empty at 6:00pm. The space is cool and inviting. The service was great and attentive. We ordered a few appetizers which were not very good (chicken karage, spring rolls). The spicy edamame was pretty good. We ordered 6 different rolls which wasn’t anything too special for the price. the presentation was great for my kids who loved getting it on a boat. Other than that the flavors weren’t too good and I was really hoping to like it more. Out of the 6 rolls we really only enjoyed 2. We spent a good amount of money here but unfortunately will not be returning.

Dined tonight before a flight and this place has excellent service, delicious food, and wonderful ambiance. Def try the spicy garlic edamame, the crispy rice and tuna, and the lion roll! Our server was so friendly and sweet.

While the food isn’t bad, we were surprised in the end to a 5% restaurant fee charge that wasn’t disclosed prior to us.
I don’t like paying high end sushi and tipping 22% on a great service, but I don’t support this 5% restaurant fee charged surging all over.

For the most part a great experience. Calamari was a little on the chewy side, and they brought out avocado rolls instead of avocado and cucumber rolls. Everything else was great. They should expand their appetizer selection though. Very limited for a Japanese/sushi restaurant.
Sushi was fresh and very good. The presentation, texture, all very good. The plates for the sushi are made of some kind of volcanic rock, which was very interesting. I would definitely come again.
Food was alright, the fresh wasabi is kind of a joke. Consistency was gooey and chunky at the same time. Guessing they aren't familiar with how to use it. Staff was friendly but our server not so attentive, especially when the place was empty.
Phenomenal service and atmosphere. Food is very well prepared and presented. High end feel for reasonable prices.

My husband and I were in the mood for sushi and stumbled upon this place. We had the CA roll and lemon roll and they were delicious. The indoor decor is unique for a sushi restaurant but it made the experience all the more fun and interesting. The staff was very friendly and we look forward to returning again.

Downtown Sushi is okay. Every item we had was good, not great. They charge downtown prices for things like O-Toro, and maybe a little less for more standard items. They clearly took over the space from an Italian restaurant. Lots of renaissance paintings inside. Overall, passable, but nothing super awesome.
