So to start, I have to compare chow halls on a chow hall scale, because obviously regular food is superior. Out of all the chow halls I’ve eaten at, this is one of the better ones, and I believe that stems from the amount of visibility MCRD gets as a whole. Lots of big names and shiny collars come through, and that’s not common with chow halls on larger installations. Food is good. What a great place to celebrate both Marine Corp birthday and Veterans Day!Old friends from back in the day were there to really make the day and more memories. The food was amazing! Looking forward to next year!
Throughout my ROM experience we received morning lunch and dinner chow every day. Although what we received was highly questionable. Also we received our meals at 1000, 1530, and 1930 everyday on top of a the lunch and dinner meals being a plain chicken breast, rice, and something green (usually changes). Other than that I enjoyed my experience within the dining facility. Food was great as well as customer service.
