On our big day, we had so many compliments on the food! Both the Creole Style Short Rib with Chive and Bay and the Chicken and Smoked Andouille Jambalaya were the biggest hits! Our loved ones were coming up to us just to tell us how great the food was! The short rib was super tender and had the perfect amount of flavor while the jambalaya was perfectly cooked with just the right hint of spice.
While we knew the food was delicious since we tasted it beforehand, what surprised us even more was how much our guests raved about it. We even had guests come up to us asking about how they ensure future weddings have the same food!
We could not be happier with EcoCaters and that starts with Christine. She is the best partner you could ask for on your big day and accommodated all of our wishes!

amazing company and am saddened that multiple people of one party three months ago gave a 1 start with the same story… this company strives to let ALL guests eat, if not everyone has stepped-up to get their food, of course a catering company isn’t going to give extra food to others. Before seconds begin. Definitely great food and service and skill the people who wrote the same message worded differently must not have known the rules to serving all guests first. Adding a five star forsure!

I thought the experience with the Eco team from top to bottom was excellent. Starting from the planning process we had a great time with Christine in setting up tastings and going through the timelines. We ended up having a special protein selection (mixing a different protein and sauce compared to what was on the menu) and never tried our other dish but gave notes to the chef on what we wanted. The end result on the wedding day was ever better than what we had tried at the tasting as the chef took all our feedback into account and nailed it. All our guests were well fed and those were wanted it had seconds available, as Christine promised. Additionally, all our vendors were all fed in a seamless fashion. All dietary restrictions were noted and taken care of and her team followed all of our requests with great notes and organization.
The star of all of this was Christine who took on everything we asked of her without any hesitation and was there to make sure it all went to plan. Hoping for future couples to have the same positive experiences as we did. Thanks EcoCaters Team, it was perfect!

They catered our wedding at The Secret Garden at Rancho Santa Fe and they were amazing! Communication with Christine was always very clear and she always responded very quickly. We were so happy that their team made sure that we were able to eat all of the food because it was all so good! They set aside plated appetizers and served us a plated dinner. We did buffet style and everything went so smoothly. We also got to bring some extras home which was a nice touch. Coincidentally, we also found out that one of their team members actually went to high school with my husband (groom)! (We had a crossword puzzle and she saw that he was from the same hometown). My husband and I hired Eco Caters for our wedding, and unfortunately, the experience fell far below our expectations. Several issues occurred that could have been easily avoided with more professionalism and attention to detail on their part.
To begin with, the staff was noticeably unprofessional and dismissive of our guests’ needs. Despite clear communication during the planning process about accommodating dietary restrictions, our guests with special dietary needs were not assisted appropriately. Additionally, when some guests requested more food, they were told no—despite our repeated emphasis that we wanted to ensure more than enough food was available for everyone.
Another frustrating oversight was that no bread was provided at the head table, where my husband and I were seated—even though our contract specified that every table would receive bread.
Communication broke down throughout the evening, particularly as several of Eco Caters' missteps delayed our timeline and added unnecessary stress to what should have been a joyful and seamless event.
Overall, this experience was stressful, disappointing, and certainly not reflective of the price we paid. While I don’t typically leave negative reviews, this situation was especially frustrating. I would not recommend Eco Caters to anyone planning an important event—especially a wedding.

When guests asked about additional food, they were told no. This was something we had stressed throughout the process from the beginning and many times we had been assured there would be more than enough food. Also, the staff would clean full drinks off tables and full pieces of cake that guests were still eating.
We had paid for extra appetizers, but many of our guests never received any. What was served came out late and very slowly, so only a handful of people even had the chance to try them.
For the amount we paid, we expected professional service and a seamless dining experience for our guests. Sadly, that was not the case. We would not recommend Eco Caterers based on our experience.

We had 30 minutes of what was supposed to be an hour cocktail hour. Many of our guests didn't receive any appetizers. Portions of both appetizers and entrees were significantly smaller than what we were served at the tasting, which felt misleading.
One of our guests requested more chicken due to dietary restrictions and was denied by the servers. Several guests requested more salad dressing and were told they ran out.
Finally, we paid extra per person for a sauce for the chicken and it wasn't provided. They charged us for something we didn't receive and will not refund what we paid!
To top it all off, when I tried in good faith to resolve these issues with their management, they ignored me. Initially, they seemed genuinely concerned and acknowledged their company's failures, but once we agreed on a resolution, all communication stopped. I was led to believe they were going to work on making things right but clearly had no intention of doing so. This company failed in professionalism, service, and integrity. They are dishonest!
Save yourself the headache and avoid them at all costs.

We decided to have tacos for our wedding from Eco Caters and I am so happy with how it turned out. We had the achiote braised chicken, adobo beef, and adobo jackfruit and all 3 were a huge hit! My husband is not typically a big fan of vegan food, but he loved the jackfruit and thought it was the best filling - I personally loved the beef, and the chicken was also delicious. Our guests raved about the food, and we were so happy with the affordability of the catering packages.
The staff was also amazing. We had one woman who would come check on us at our sweetheart table to make sure we had all of the food and drinks we needed throughout the entire night, so we never had to go to the bar or buffet line, which was an unexpected but great touch. We received many compliments on the friendliness of the servers and the bartenders throughout the night.
Working with our account manager Christine was great: she was professional, friendly, and communicative. Anytime we had a question or wanted to make a change to our catering package, she responded to us quickly and made the process easy and seamless.
Overall, we highly recommend Eco Caters if you’re looking for an affordable, delicious, and professional catering company for your wedding!

Great experience working with Eco for our July 2024 wedding! Their catering menu mixes flavors beautifully and offers lots of flexibility in meal choices and dietary restrictions. Producing high quality food at such large quantities (175 plated entrees) is no small feat, and we got compliments that we had the best food at any wedding our guests had attended. Christine was professional and kind and gave us helpful timeline reminders well in advance. The servers and bartenders provided great service and positive energy to the event. Highly recommended!
