The Baseline: For a breakfast/brunch cafe the food must be hearty/filling/satisfying for the early morning, there must be a mix of sweet and savory to fulfill that brunch/breakfast need, and service must be a welcoming start of your day experience.
Food: Had the double egg and cheese sandwich. Really good preparation of the scrambled egg and the brioche bun was well toasted and the cheese was well melted. Good sandwich.
Service: Order kiosk and the staff prepped the sandwich quickly. Friendly and welcoming to the cafe.
Ambiance: Some indoor seating but it had a big patio. The Tesla Chargers are right outside so this is a great sandwich if you are here for a morning Super-Charge.

Top breakfast in SD. Get hash brown truffle, very good.
Only criticism is last time I went there was a pesky fly lol

Food was delicious and the staff very welcoming. I had the bacon and cheese egglet which was so good. My husband didn’t love his double sausage egglet as the sausage was more of a hot dog than breakfast sausage. We both ordered the truffle hashbrowns but should have shared one order as it was a lot of food.

I was extremely excited to try this place (as I often charge my vehicle right by it in the morning). Everything smelt and looked amazing when I took the take out this morning. When I got home and bit in to my smoked bacon egg sandwich the longest most disgusting hair is what I bit into. I was the first customer of the day and not sure if I’m going to go tell the guy that made my food (he was the only one there) but the $35 I paid was not well spent.

I've been to Egglet a few times already and never had problems until last Tuesday. Found a long piece of hair (too long to be acceptable in food but can very well be men's or women's hair) standing upright in my sandwich which means it was squished in the sandwich and was there for awhile.
I normally am okay if it's a smaller piece since my parents own a restaurant, I totally understand the frustration of things falling into customers' food. However, I am not okay with their customer service lol.
I first called them about the situation in a calm tone and asked them if there's a phone number I can text the photos to since this is unacceptable. They didn't sound apologetic or offered me any solution on the call and told me I can text the number I was calling.
So l did. And I got ghosted. There was a read receipt but they never responded, never apologized, and never offered me a solution (eg. refund, partial refund, a free sandwich, ANYTHING). I was not in search of a refund or anything but what I was looking for was accountability and customer service that I deserved, but I received nothing from them.
So l went to the store the next day and talked to a couple of employees there in a calm and civil manner, who btw were nice to me and told me their manager is aware of this and will be in touch within days. A week went by, so I called them to check in.
All my calls from my phone number went straight to voicemail today. So I believe I am blocked. Blocked for being a customer, and for bringing up issues that come from their food that they cannot handle.
They clearly do not value customer experience with them. I wasn't angry about the situation, but mostly disappointed that this is how I am treated and how I genuinely liked their sandwiches before. I don't think anyone else should go through what I went through, but pls do what you want with this review. :)

I like the food, but it’s on the pricey side for what it is. Stick to the main sandwiches and OJ, miss the coffee (weak) and salad (just leaves).

Super yummy egg sandwiches!!! Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Their jam sauce is tasty and goes well with the sandwiches. I know it’s more of a breakfast brunch place, but egglet would make a fantastic late night spot if they had later hours!

“Wife dragged me here, but now I can’t wait to come back—SO good!” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I honestly wasn’t too excited about coming here at first, but my wife wanted to try it—and I’m so glad we did! The food was absolutely incredible—so flavorful. The staff were very welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience even better. I left completely impressed and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

first time here.
the 2-staff employees were not friendly.
the breakfast cheese omelet sandwich was just ok because the bread was soaked in burnt ecycled grease.

The Egglet Deluxe was excellent. It’s a little sweet, which I understand is a Korean preference. We loved it.
Update: We’ve since tried the hash brown. It’s a little too deep-fried and oily for my tastes. More crust than potato.

Maybe my expectations are high because San Diego has the best breakfast sandwich spot in all of America with Sunny Side Kitchen, but these sandwiches are incredibly mid. Not much flavor. Low quality off the shelf ham. McDonald’s quality egg. Brioche bread is the only distinguishing factor here…
But when I can go just a bit further north for breakfast sandwiches that are about the same price and literally a whole order of magnitude better? Like just shut this place down and replace it with Sunny Side at that point?

Ordered the ham special, and quite pleased! Sandwich is hot and fresh, egg is fluffy and delicious! The sandwich is also very large and a great value. Will definitely return for a bfast fix if I'm in the area

It was second time visiting since about a month ago. Sandwich was okay but orange juice was disappointing. I understand that the sweetness and flavor of fresh OJ can vary by season, but everyone in my group felt it lacked freshness. Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish it.
