I’m really sad because this place is not even close of what used to be .!!!
Chilaquiles were salty …
The sausages super bad quality… like really bad.

Barely a strawberry in the pancakes…
Service is always great but in the end we leave with q sad feeling of not enjoying our breakfast.!

We came here because we wanted tacos and Salud had closed down on us. We saw the reviews were decent so decided to check it out. It seems like a tiny place but they have seating in the patio inside and that area is actually very nice! They have created an outdoor garden space, which feels airy and big as compared to the inside space.

You order at the counter and then choose a table. We ordered 3 tacos - the asada, the chorizo and the fish. The tacos were good...not as good as Salud (which is/was my favorite) but pretty good. The chorizo was the best followed by the fish and then the asada. The side of Spanish rice was very good. The beans were fine. The salsas were good! All in all, this was a surprisingly good experience.

Convenient location, we did not struggle to find parking. You order at the counter before sitting down. Walked in with high such anticipation to try their cafe de olla. Just to be disappointed, it was super sweet and overall did not taste like cafe de la olla. If you have a sweet palate then you’ll probably enjoy it more. The coffee was brought out along with two creamers per cup. They use disposable plates and cups which was a bit of a disappointment as well. Nobody checked on our table after food was delivered. We had the Frida chilaquiles and the Chicano chilaquiles. They were both ok, one had carne asada which was well seasoned. We asked for an over hard egg on top but unfortunately it arrived runny. The atmosphere was my favorite, whimsical and cute with plenty of picture opportunities.

The chilaquiles were not so great, very very salty. Bummed out because I expected it to be good. The egg wasn't cooked well and the potatoes tasted old. I also ordered a cafe de olla and too much sugar.

Visited San Diego briefly but managed to eat here twice. Really cool and casual spot with delicious dishes. Had a burrito and enchiladas and I'd recommend both.

I got El Carrito Chilaquiles to-go...they were too salty for my liking and I wish they came with more sauce. The texture of the beans seemed too liquidy (as if they were placed in a blender)which to me was not the right consistency for refried beans.. My boyfriend had the Torta Borracha and it was good!
