What a great find El Comal is! From the margaritas to the home made tortilla chips, the mains we tried.. whole snapper and green mole enchiladas and ending with flan… DELICIOUS ! The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. It’s a lovely small spot in an unexpected area.. go and try it!

We went late at night around 7:30pm.
We ordered queso fundido with rajas (didn't take a pic) the corn tortillas are excellent and made in house do not break.
We ordered a Cadillac margarita, Horchata and Virgin pomegranate Mojito. All quite tasty.
Food:

At any time, food comes out delish! This time, we had Posole Verde, enough for two people. Great taste and ample meat.

I came in on a Tuesday hoping to find a taco Tuesday special but they didn’t. I got the chicken tamale with green sauce the table was 6$ and the bottle beers were 7$ each. The tamale was good but very small the audacious price of 6$. It was tiny I wish I would’ve took a picture of it to show you guys, hardly any meat and not very saucy although good flavor for the masa. I was originally going to go down the street where I get three chicken street tacos and a beer for 12 on taco Tuesdays but I thought I’d give this place a try. Come check it out, the service was fast and friendly. Wish they could add a taco Tuesday menu because the price of one street taco here is questionable

Loved the soy chorizo hash! The restaurant is small inside but comfortable and the staff is great. Would definitely recommend it as a great spot for anyone in the area.
Vegetarian options: Soy chorizo, veggie huarache, and many dishes come with little meat or can easily be subbed out.

Amazing tacos! We sat outside, there is a covered patio with pretty decor. Homemade tortillas with so many choices, you can't go wrong! I was tempted to try the smoked marlin taco, but opted for adobado and cochanita tacos. They brought us an extra plate with the smoked marlin so we could try it, and it was also amazing! Forgot to take a photo until we were halfway done. Definitely recommend, and will be back next time we're in San Diego!
