It's a very authentic Mexican restaurant. Although the Roll Taco I ordered was a little tough for my personal taste, the El Patron Burrito was very solid, with plenty of meat, and it was very marinated and delicious! I also especially tried Chimichanga, a dish where meat fillings are wrapped in a roll and deep-fried. The meat inside is just right tender. In addition, this store allows you to pick up different types of sauces, as well as fried chili peppers or green peppers. It is highly recommended to try it!

NEVER AGAIN, hart to belive so many 5 stars for review on this place, my experience was the worst! and i do vist resturants 5 times a week. order chilaquiles and i have never sine such careless presentation of this plate. was awfull. and not the greatest taste. NOT RECOMMEND , if your really into mexican food, stay away from this place..

Awesome local Mexican restaurant with a nice relaxed vibe, and decent prices. Can't believe I lived in Mira Mesa for 10 years before trying them! They do a Taco Tuesday special every week, but I usually prefer their Carne Asada or Pollo Asado burritos, which are a healthy size, and they are pretty generous with the (good-quality) meat too. My other favorite is the Bisteak Ranchero plate. I should really try some of their other choices, but I'm a bit of a creature of habit when I find a few things I like. They also make like 6 different kinds of great salsa and sell pretty good flan and churros. You can phone-in a take out order if you don't want to wait around on a busy day/night. Give them a try - you won't be disappointed!

I went with a large party. Mostly everything was amazing. The tostada and carne asada taco were a little bland and boring, but the surf and turf burrito, carne asada fries, shrimp cocktail were awesome.
