No cilantro dressing for the salad which is what my gf likes on her salad and that was ordered and not in the bag nor was there any queso that Juan promised to dip my quesadillas in. Disappointed because my injured gf couldn't get what she wanted nor could she eat a salad with no dressing.
Went to the drive through on a busy Saturday night. The service was very quick and direct. The lady was not messing around and you know what? It's perfectly fine.
At the drive through window, one could hear fast chopping happening and it was a good sign.
Took the food back home and enjoyed it thoroughly! I recommend the chicken quesadilla and the spicy chicken bowl, which took me 2.5 days to finish and tasted just fine after all that time. Avocado was fresh, which was a very nice touch.
The crunchy chicken tacos were just okay but maybe because they were not eaten fresh.
Highly recommend this place during the PM hours! Walked into CAVA (across the street) before and the rice looked so pathetic and dry so we left, thank god because it would have been twice the price and half the quality of Pollo Loco! 🐔 🤪

There was a gentleman there name to Jonathan who took my order who was as pleasant and helpful as any restaurant worker I've encountered in ages. This was one of the better El Pollo Loco franchises and when we are back in Del Mar we will certainly be there again.

The coupons they send out dont work through the app and you won't know until you've completed the order.
The store then can't do anything because the app is separate from the store?
Didnt realize till I got home they didn't ask or offer the beverages included in the meals, any salsa, utensils or napkins. So we're left with a pretty dry meal all around.
This is the second time having the app was more of a headache than helpful.
Food's fine. Just go in-person and expect to be a little too in control of your own experience.
(They had a couple of other to-go orders, but only two customers. They were not at all busy)
Today, I placed an order through door dash and once I received my order I then realized that items were missing from my order. I realize that this is not my door dasher’s fault but the fault of this specific El Pollo Loco establishment. I called directly to this location and they handled the situation poorly. The woman I spoke with did absolutely nothing to correct the situation even after I explained to her that I could not physically go into their location due to me being in the hospital. The lack of empathy is very telling. I will not be returning to this location.

Went to use one of the "deals" that was sent on the app. When I got there they told me I had to use that deal with an online order. So not fully the store's fault that the app sent me a deal that can only be used online?! But...it was only for $1 off so why they would rather have me leave upset (yes, I cancelled my order because I was upset) rather than just discount my order by $1 I don't fully understand. People are not able to make decisions like that because they don't know what button to push on the register to discount the order.

Not only is EPL food great tasting, much of it is actually healthy.
