Pollo loco is the most delicious chicken 🐔

Went through the drive thru and after getting my bag I was going to check it to see if I got everything and the drive thru attendee(quy hong H) asked if there was a problem and I said no im just going to check my bag and he told me to pull out and do it so he could help the next person. I barely had it in my hands and was about to open it. If i had been missing anything or they had got my special order wrong he would have me go all around the building and come back through. It was very rude and I won't be coming back. My food was cold too. The frys were saggy too. Very disappointed. And I spent $15 dollars for that.

Kudos to the manager and especially the cook (Jonathan) because he really knows how to get the chicken right- always juicy and never over cooked- years ago I stopped coming to this location but for the past year I could definitely tell the difference with the service and the way the chicken was grilled , I love Pollo Loco and have it like twice a week-Yummy, delicious, clean and decent prices -

So sad, after years of me and my boyfriend consistently loving and buying your delicious bowls 2-5 days a week you first got super cheap and changed your white meat to dark meat or a mix, with mostly dark meat on our bowls. But, you had a chicken breast substitution upgrade, fine. Now, you have done away with chicken breast upgrade. You have lost my business forever!!!!!

Ordered the street corn chicken bowl and it was drenched in bean sauce which made it a soup. There were no pieces of chicken, it was all shredded. Not close to as pictured or what I have received from other locations. Tasted off too.

I asked for all legs on my meal. It turned out that today i couldn’t, not sure why not today. Both team members were not wearing a name tag to mention both of them for making this a 1 star.

Made a mobile order got it home and it all went down hill from there! Chicken looked animic, hardly a spec of good char anywhere. Spiced strangely. The taste was off, salty and bitter! The one piece of crispy skin i did kind of find tasted spoiled, as did their fresh salsa. The chicken was also extremely greasy! The drink that came with my combo was flat and just sugar flavored water with dr pepper flavoring. The whole thing went into the trash! I will never visit this store again! I have been there only a couple of times through out the years and this store seems to always be slightly off. Today broke the camel's back! It was disgusting! Good bye el pollo loco in mission valley!! Might i add, the receipt requested a survey. The survey i.d. # was not on the receipt, so i couldnt do it online. I called in and the phone tree didnt work & i couldnt get past 'press "1" for English.' Maybe all EPLs are going down hill.

As someone who has been one of El Pollo Locos most loyal customers I’ve been going to El Pollo Loco since 1990 averaging at least 100 to 150 visits a year I must say this restaurant is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a El Pollo Loco. You literally have to beg to get a napkin at this restaurant. They close the drink taps with no access to the public and block the view of the actual food preparation so they can reduce the amount of chicken they put on their salads and other items.

When I asked for some pepper condiments, they asked how many do you want one or two? The employees at this location have obviously been trained to essentially strangle every single thing out of this restaurant.

All I can say to the management and ownership of this particular location is you need to change your business model or you will ultimately fail.

I will never go back to this location. an absolutely horrible customer experience.

We went for lunch and it was busy. We waited before someone acknowledged us and when she did, she said the chicken wasn’t ready. We placed our order and waited. We wanted to sit outside because we had the dog. There were no umbrellas and no shade! We waited about 1/2 hour for our food. It was not a pleasant experience.

Parking: Right next to In and Out so parking was busy
