California burrito 6/10
Not impressed. I had the bacon burrito, and it was about 85 percent potato with some egg and a few bacon bits sprinkled in. My companion’s shrimp burrito skimped on the shrimp.

I came for some nachos with meat.... Nothing to do with what they offer, no cream, no grated cheese, the meat was dry (it had been cooked for a while)

Nice place close to the border. You can grab a bite before you cross or right after. Not the best compared to Mexico but does the job. The lady there was so kind and helpful.

From the moment I walked in, it was exceedingly pleasant. The owner greets every guest with a genuine, warm and friendly greeting. While waiting, I was treated to some of the best chips and homemade salsa I have ever had. My wife and I ordered a chicken enchilada, cheese enchilada, combination platter. The beans, rice and enchiladas were magnificently. perfect. I consider myself a Mexican food aficionado. I grew up in a Mexican neighborhood on the east Bay of San Francisco. Accustomed to homemade everything Mexican. This restaurant swept me back in time to the place were grandmothers, aunts and nieces gathered in el cocina to prepare mindbending food for family and friends. It is a great pleasure for me to write this review. If I could give higher marks than five, I would do so. I will take pictures next time.
