From the moment I walked in, it was exceedingly pleasant. The owner greets every guest with a genuine, warm and friendly greeting. While waiting, I was treated to some of the best chips and homemade salsa I have ever had. My wife and I ordered a chicken enchilada, cheese enchilada, combination platter. The beans, rice and enchiladas were magnificently. perfect. I consider myself a Mexican food aficionado. I grew up in a Mexican neighborhood on the east Bay of San Francisco. Accustomed to homemade everything Mexican. This restaurant swept me back in time to the place were grandmothers, aunts and nieces gathered in el cocina to prepare mindbending food for family and friends. It is a great pleasure for me to write this review. If I could give higher marks than five, I would do so. I will take pictures next time. 5/5 great little places in a strip mall. The food was authentic and delicious. The staff complementary gave us desert it was all great. If I lived in San Diego I would be frequently visiting this place.

This was our first stop in SD after getting off plane and getting a rental and it was a great experience. The owner was so warm and inviting as were the other customers. In the 30 min we were there he made us feel like family friends. He recommended great dishes for us and we had a great meal and conversation. Will be back!

I’m in the area for work. We came across this delicious breakfast spot. The Cali burritos are not for the weak! I got the bacon burrito and it was delicious. You definitely can share one with two people. That’s how big they are. The mango smoothie was exactly what I needed.Highly recommend this place.
