Have been here a few times. First couple of times were fantastic. Last time we waited at the counter for 15 min just to order while someone was picking up what seemed like half the restaurant’s food for an Uber Eats order or something. We ended up walking out after giving up.

Heading out to Convoy street, you know what I'm looking for.... solid Mexican cuisine, lol. But no joke, this is one of my new favorite spots in San Diego. Ensenada Fish Taco? it rivals the best spots in town. Quesa taco with fried cheese and shrimp? awesome. Their tortillas are great. Their guacamole is served in a molcajete and super fresh and citrusy. Frijoles, I'm ordering some to go for later. Been twice, will be again. Convoy is my Mexican Hot Spot (not Hot Pot=) They do a taco Tuesday but everything is worth the price all day.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Customer service was horrible. They had us wait a few minutes for a table to open up (which I understood because it was a little busy) just to turn around and give that table to someone else. Then when asked why our table was given up no direct answer was given, but offered us a table in the back where there was high foot traffic that sat less than the amount of people we had, which means we would have been sitting uncomfortably. Then told we would have to wait longer for another seat to become available for us. The other family was allowed to stay in their seating. I wouldn't spend my money in a place that only values certain customers.
