Went in for a dim sum during lunch. The food is remarkably authentic, surprisingly so, as it is from Hong Kong. Normally, in San Diego, the other Dim Sum restaurants serve food that is either too salty or bland , but this one is not. The price is also very competitive and is cheaper than when it was by the previous owner. The parking lot is severely small and hard to find parking space. They used to have an under ground garage but it is closed for unknown reason.

A long-established Cantonese dim sum restaurant with a spacious venue and private rooms, making it quite suitable for family gatherings or event dinners. I’ve been here many times before, but this was my first visit since the renovation. We were seated at a large table in a private room, which offered better privacy. The table was very large, with four tablecloths laid on it. The lazy Susan in the middle was extremely heavy and difficult to turn, making it very inconvenient to serve dishes. Cantonese roasted meats are supposed to be a classic feature of Cantonese cuisine, but they weren’t good—the flavor was rather lacking. The other dishes were just average; the best was the fried rice. Dessert is served after the meal. The cost was around $50 per person. Compared to my visit to 豪记 last week, where I spent just over $20 per person and was extremely satisfied, my conclusion is that this place is overpriced for mediocre food.

Large tables of people created a very noisy atmosphere . The dim sum wasn't very interesting as it used to be. Service was not good . We were told certain choices were not available but another server brought them to us.

Food is good. But 90 % of time when I order Togo. They always forget to put sauce for shrimp roll dim sum. The Togo department needs major change.

Used to enjoy their Peking Duck. This time it was very fatty, skin not crispy at all. Served already cut up, so no way to know when and how it was prepared. Will not return.

Emerald Chinese Cuisine in Convoy has really solid dim sum. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but that’s pretty normal for the area. The food came out hot and fresh, and everything we tried was really good.

The service was kind of what I’ve come to expect at dim sum spots. Not super warm or friendly, but nothing that bothered me either. Honestly, I’ve never been to a dim sum place where the service felt personal, so maybe that’s just how it is.

The inside of the restaurant is nice and clean, and there’s enough space between tables so it doesn’t feel cramped. It’s a good spot for lunch or a chill dinner with friends or family. Overall, it’s a solid pick if you’re craving Cantonese dim sum in San Diego.

Best dim sum in San Diego. I was devastated when China max burned down, so I was so excited to find this place. The seafood isn’t fishy tasting like it is at the popular place down the street. You can always get a table. Service is very friendly. The best part is you can order dim sum at all hours. Even dinner! Highly recommend the baked custard buns and fried shrimp balls.

Went here for lunch. Wanted to support our Chinese friends in the US because they’re awesome 🇨🇳

Good variety of Dim Sum. Expansive dining room. Quick and fairly priced. We didn’t go buck wild because that requires a nap. 3 humans ate to satisfaction for 85 bucks with tip included with sodas.

The beef fried rice was excellent. The parking lot was calm during the lunch hours

My daughter fell at establishment... floors were wet, soapy and without signage. Personnel was very dismissive and is not forthcoming with information, will not take a report or give me the managers name or owner. Rude people that showed zero empathy to what transpired during our visit. Food is not worth the $$ either. All around horrible experience.

So delicious! Perfect place to go as a group and try a bunch of dishes and dim sum, plus w/ a lazy Susan it makes it so easy to share. I would highly recommend the Singapore Noodles.

I think they have problems with food quality control. The meat looks weird and tastes weird. We order a lots of dim sum but few of them are good. The two pieces of sticky rice with chicken in the same place even taste differently.
