EsKiNiTa offers authenticity. The BBQ Skewers are delicious. The verity of Skewers always impress me. Its a street style spot. You grill your own Skewers to your liking. My personal favorite are the pork belly, chicken and pork meat. The owner is super friendly and always makes sure you are good and will guide you if needed. Highly recommend this spot.

This is the closest you can get to authentic Filipino street food. While some of the food didn't taste exactly like the ones in the Philippines (wasn't the biggest fan of the kwek-kwek and kikiam), they were still pretty good. My favorite was the pork isaw—great flavor & tasted exactly like home. The staff was extremely accommodating, I easily could've stayed there for hours just to chat hahaha.

Food was great, til I got home and suffered the worst food poisoning I've had in almost 7 years. Threw up for over an hour while having the runs, and my partner threw up as well. Seems this place isn't practicing sanitary conduct for their otherwise good tasting food.
Super cool place with a great owner and great food!

The vibe was exactly like what others mentioned in the reviews—on point! I actually found them on Instagram while searching for “isawan” in San Diego. I absolutely love the atmosphere here. It was our first time, and the moment we stepped out of the car, we were warmly greeted by Kuya (I think he’s the owner). He asked, “Family, is it your first time?” and when we said yes, he guided us through the menu and pointed out their specialties. We got to sample the beef pares and sisig, and they were absolutely bomb! We ended up ordering the beef pares, sisig, and beef mami… saraaaapp!!! Salamat po for treating us like family and making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back!

If you're craving an unforgettable Filipino street food experience, Eskinita in San Diego is a must-visit. From the moment you arrive, the energy is palpable, lively music, the aroma of sizzling meat, and the warm welcome from staff make you feel like you've stepped into a bustling night market in Manila.
What truly sets Eskinita apart is the interactive dining experience. Each comes with its own charcoal grill, allowing guests to cook their skewers to perfection. There's something incredibly satisfying about hearing the sizzle and watching the pork belly, longanisa, and isaw caramelize right in front of you. It’s not just dinner. It’s a shared ritual that brings people together.
The food itself is phenomenal. Every skewer bursts with authentic Filipino flavor, from the sweet savory glaze on the BBQ pork to the rich umami of the beef pares. The ingredients are fresh, the marinades are spot-on, and the variety is impressive. Don’t skip the ube ice cream for dessert. It’s the perfect cool-down after the heat of the grill.
The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with friendly staff who treat you like family. Whether you're Filipino or just discovering the cuisine, Eskinita offers a genuine taste of the Philippines with a twist of DIY fun. It’s more than a meal, it’s a celebration of culture, flavor, and community.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to spice up their dinner plans with something deliciously different.

Our group of 17, including family visiting from out of state, had a wonderful time at this Filipino street food spot. The experience brought back fond memories of growing up in the Philippines. We loved choosing our food and grilling it ourselves, just like back home. The pares and sisig were outstanding, and they offer a wide variety of Filipino snacks. Highly recommend! Plenty of Parking!

First time trying the food i guess its not bad same as Totos Grill and Dollar hits like there is no difference but this place i just felt like its unorganized. I got my food i grill it looking for the sauce i went inside and they ran out of the sauce so I asked 😅 and waited about 8 to 15 minutes people arguing. Also i dont know the price but i got 13 sticks plus small sisig = 43$ ohh i thought the sisig was dinuguan hahaha it was swimming with oil

I was welcomed by the owner who was outside attending to the grill area and his friendly and warm smile helped me feel comfortable. He explained the process in a simple way which made my experience more pleasant. After picking and paying for my meat choices the owner helped me to cook my choices of skewers in the best way. It was his warm smile that also made me try new items that I never would have before like quail egg and pig ear. The atmosphere here is friendly especially with the music that they play here. Im you are lucky enough to try EsKiNiTa I recommend them 100% they are open 5pm-11pm Thursday to Saturday. I know i will make multiple trips back for the service alone.
