Our favorite restaurant in San Diego right now. The staff and Chef never miss with a dish or service. Date night at the bar is amazing. Cocktails are great and the wine list is an excellent compliment to the menu.

Best place to go for dinner in San Diego. Authentic French cuisine, excellent winery and bar and a great service. We've been here several times now whenever we have visited San Diego and have never been disappointed. Thank you Ludo and team!

March 15th, Craving for something different so French it is! Ambiance was too dark, seated by window. We ordered drinks then food. Service was ok, food was very good. My friend has frequented this place so he knew what to order! I think lighting could be a bit brighter, staff was friendly! We'd be back!

Had a great meal here. My wife Enjoyed the Muscles. and I had the Papardelle. I'm a sucker for it! We had wonderful service, and great food, and a great environment for date night!

The food was delicious, the ambience warm and inviting, and the service was outstanding. Everyone in the restaurant - patrons and staff alike - were smiling and genuinely happy. The evening was a true gift.

We've been going to Et Volià! for the past few years. Every time we go we have a good experience. The menu has excellent options; from the appetizers to the mains, cheese selections. One of our favorites is the caviar with blini. It goes well with chilled vodka. The wine list pairs nicely with the food on the menu. The desserts are only fair, though. The pastry on our desserts was dry and over baked on 2 occasions. They have a significant wine cooler visible at the front of the restaurant. Cocktails are equally good and served at a bustling bar. Service can be spotty, but is mostly OK. The ambiance is relaxed with streaming lounge music. It's a world away from the hectic Adams Avenue on the other side of the door. Et Voilà! is consistent, which makes this one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego. Highly recommended.

Wish there was one closer to my area, having 2 or 3 locations in San Diego would not make it a chain, quality could still be maintained at that scale

Let me start with WOW! Really late to this review as it is for the Valentine's Day menu but if it's any indication of what they serve daily I have to come back. For starters we made a reservation to the wrong place and they were gracious enough to accommodate us at the bar and kindly told us it happened often. The bar is cute and the bartender Missy was super sweet! My blueberry gin cocktail was delicious and hard not to chug! We ordered one of everything from that nights tasting. The Crab imperial was nice and light and loaded with crab meat under that coconut foam. Weirdly this dish tasted like a Thai dish to me and nothing I've ever had at a French place but hey, it was good. The Foie Gras was impeccable. Whipped to perfection with delicious flavor and all the other items on the plate paired well. The mid course was the knockout. The scallops with truffle risotto was expertly prepared and on some level they could have ended the meal there and I would have been satisfied. The bartender perfectly matched a Chennin Blanc with that dish. Marriage made in heaven. She also paired a delicious Cab Franc for our Veal and Filet dish that was also a smart choice. The filet was cooked perfect but the potato's were forgettable. The Mushroom stuffed veal was tasty but the ravioli it was paired with was too thick and a little dry and was the only thing I didn't care for the entire night. The strawberry shortcake was super light and kind of lacking flavor without the overly flavorful coulis. The chocolate cake was well balanced with a nice crunch mixed in there. 100% will be back to try their house menu and be delighted once again I'm sure.

I love Et Voila! We have been here several times and it is becoming one of our favorite restaurants due to the consistency of great food and amazing service. Many restaurants are great sometimes and not so much other times, but we can count on amazing each and every time here and we really appreciate that. Our favorites are French onion soup and souffle (if they have it on the specials), but everything is great here.

Favorite French spot in San Diego. The service is great and the food is amazing. The prices are fairly good for French cuisine. We will be back again and again.

The food was above average though not exceptional given the price point, and the service did not hit the mark for a few reasons. The latter is why I may or may not return. We came on a weeknight and were told that reservations were full for the next 3 hours; we didn't have one. Fortunately though, there was room at the bar and we sat immediately, which was nice. As we settled in we asked about specials and suggestions. Bartender then told us about date night special. After flipping through the menu a bit my girlfriend mentioned she wasn't feeling very hungry and would just eat a little bit. In front of the woman next to me, there was another menu that was a happy hour menu. I asked if there was a happy hour. The bartender then mentioned there was one; there was still 1.5 hours left for it. I felt like the specials were intentionally not being disclosed, perhaps to get us to spend more by not mentioning them. We started with a wine and a beer from the HH menu.Since she wasn't too hungry we conveniently ordered from the HH menu: mussels, frites, lamb belly, and mushroom ravioli. After ordering everything, I later ordered a second frites. As we waited, we were nearly finished, so I asked the bartender to cancel the frites if they were not already cooked. The reaction was one of contempt more than understanding. In all, I felt like we were treated differently, either because we were younger than the other patrons, we looked different, or decided to do HH instead of full course dining. I do fairly well, and I previously spent almost a decade in restaurants. The food had solid execution, but I did not feel hospitality in my visit. At this price point, great service is as important as great food.

Our new favorite spot. The food, the service- everything is the best. The only way it could possibly improve would be if it moved to our neighborhood so we could walk there. I could eat the farro salad everyday. Just spectacular.

The Date Night at Et Voila is an excellent experience and value! Generous and delicious multi-course meal including a nice choice of good wine. Service is always perfect and friendly. Our friends went nuts, as this was their first experience there. We are taking some other good friends there next week!
