I’m grateful the new location of Evolution inside Donna Jeans has an outdoor patio, but I will forever miss the original location with their large private outdoor seating and drive-through! The service is prompt and comprehensive. The food is really good, and accommodating to food sensitivities.

This use to be my favorite spot!!! I would eat here at least once a week when they were in the old building. The food was always delicious back then. But since they've moved to this new spot, the quality of the food has gone downhill... I've ate at the new spot three times and each time was a disappointment... guess I need to find a new favorite spot!

I used Happy Cow to find a spot to eat while visiting San Diego, and chose Evolution Fast Food based on the positive reviews, which were well deserved
It was fairly busy, but the food was prepared well, tasted great and the staff was very friendly
had a burger & fries and the hemp milk shake, WOW !!
I will deff return

This PLACE SUCKSSSSSS. The village used to be here and I adored that place. I keep trying to like this place but every time it’s a horrible experience. When you call they put you on hold and don’t get back on the phone. I waited 5 min on hold once and 6 minutes another time. Why I stayed on hold so long? Idk I just put it on speaker and do other things then forget and hang up after them never coming back on the line. The food was not good either. Very questionable place. Horrible service. Don’t go

I used to go to evolution all the time back when it was in bankers hill, I haven’t had it in about a year so I decided to order just to see it moved locations. Upon picking up my order the fries and burger were both cold like they were made a while ago, very disappointed considering the food used to always be hot and fresh. Was ignored for a good 10 minutes by the front of house staff while she proceeded to make 5 smoothies instead of just asking if I’m picking up or placing an order .

Evolution is a true gem for anyone seeking exceptional plant-based cuisine. As someone who values both vegan and gluten-free options, I was glad to discover this restaurant that offers both. The kitchen clearly takes pride in making everything fresh from scratch, and you can absolutely taste the difference in every bite.
While the interior seating is limited, the atmosphere actually adds to the charm of the dining experience. The staff are knowledgeable about the ingredients and care about ensuring every guest has a great meal.
Don’t skip dessert! Their gluten-free vegan desserts are absolutely divine and prove that dietary restrictions don’t mean sacrificing your indulgences. Evolution has mastered the art of creating delicious, wholesome food that happens to be vegan.
Highly recommend for vegans, those with gluten sensitivities, and really anyone who appreciates freshly prepared food. I plan to be returning soon! Enjoy eating more plant based foods.

Had the Crunchwrap and the jackfruit was too sweet and the beans had no flavor. So it just tasted like biting into a sweet potato with crunch. My order also had a missing item. I tried sending an insta message and calling a few times with no luck unfortunately. Wouldn’t go back.

The black bean mushroom Swiss burger was outrageously delicious! I was full after eating half of it but kept digging into it to get more of the flavor.
Very knowledgeable staff addresses my questions bout non soy options. Now I have to try to recreate the recipe! Wish me luck.

I’ve been a long time fan of this vegan burger joint for years even before the move, and honestly it’s just as good as it was.
But yesterday when I went with my whole family to their new location for Father’s day half of us got food poisoning. We assume it was the Thousand Island sauce but are unsure.
Anyways, I’d caution against going to their new location unfortunately.
Delicious plant based food, staff is nice and food is tasty. I ordered the bacon burger and it was fantastic. Definitely recommend this place

I had been to the previous location and had a wonderful experience. This new location left me very disgusted and disappointed. I entered the establishment with my veteran friend who had his service dog accompanying him. The employee informed us they don't allow pets to which my friend tried to state the ADA laws and 2 questions that they are allowed to ask in a very calm manner. She proceeded to repeat herself. I told her that it's a service animal not a pet. She repeated once again that they don't allow any animals inside. My friend then asked to speak with her manager to which we received an eyeroll and huff of breath. She slowly walked over to the counter filling up cups with a shake as we stood there. My friend asked her if she's refusing us service. He told her that he isnt trying to be disrespectful or create a scene. We received another eyeroll as she replied no and she finally went to get her manager. The manager comes out already hostile as my friend calmly tried explaining the same ADA laws to him. He continued to yell over my friend repeating himself over and over that they don't allow pets and have had complaints from other customers concerning pets inside the establishment. My friend continued to try to explain the ADA law and even explained how his service animal is clean, freshly groomed, trained and well behaved. The manager continued yelling over him prompting my friend to ask are you refusing us service as the manager replied that we are causing a scene and that they now have a line. We didn't order food and left. The amount of hostility that we received and incompetence has left me never wanting to return.
