The Thanksgiving buffet was one of the best buffets any of us has eaten at. The quality and presentation of the food was amazing (Michelin-star quality), the price for the quality was extremely reasonable, and we loved how it was not overcrowded or noisy. They were able to seat our entire large family in one section close to the serving area. The manager was super accommodating and even offered to provide a variety of desserts that were not on the menu to the family members who couldn't partake of the buffet dessert due to dairy allergies. And to top it all off, it was walking distance from our hotel, and the front of the hotel had a beautiful outdoor space with pond for formal pictures ahead of time. This seems to be one of San Diego's best-kept secrets!
The food and the service were good. My wife's salmon was very underwhelming and that it was not plentiful. Also, the drink that we ordered had a large ice cube and hardly any liquor. Once I removed the ice cube there was 3/4 of an inch of liquid in the glass. I paid more for the ice cube than I did for the drink I think. Not worth the $11!
The staff was great, let me start with that. The food had good flavor but most of the hot items I ordered were room temperature or cold. That was disappointing.
The food and service were very good. My only disappoint was that the restaurant does not validate or discount parking at all. We drove from OC. We met our cousin who was visiting San Diego from Boston for a convention and our kids who live in DTSD. We could have parked by them, but chose to drive to the hotel because it was pouring.
Chilian seabass fish and chips tasted very good, lightly battery fried and full of flavorful
A bit overpriced for breakfast buffet with a few options. Food was good. I enjoyed the omelette station and french toast. Casual atmosphere. I wouldnt come back for the price and just head out to iHop with more options :)
Open early and close late. Super fast and friendly service in the morning. Food is freshly made but pricey. Really good ham and cheese croissant and grilled cheese sandwich

Service was slow took 30 minutes just to get water and over an hour to get our food. The food was not very good either
our server was fantastic - professional, expedient as we had a couple of children with us, and very pleasant.
I recommend the food as it was quite good. The problem was that we went with a group of people and all wanted to charge our rooms separately to take advantage of the dining credit that the hotel provides. We were not told until the end of the meal that we could only split the bill 2 ways.

Food was fine but service was Terrible. Our server, Javier, had a bad mood and made this experience poor. I was there for a conference and have eaten here multiple times which is why I chose to go back. I was surprised to see it less busy than usual but I can only assume the service may have been why. Slow and rude. This is a place where conferences are constant so splitting checks should be standard. He acted as if it was the biggest deal in the world and took forever. Legitimately ordered and got food in about 20 mins. Then it took 30-40 to get the check and pay. We were only a party of 3. It was not even busy.
Always stay at a Marriott and by the size of the hotel and price I was expecting better food it felt like a courtyard breakfast
Oscar was our waiter and he was excellent. This restaurant is only 2 blocks from where I live so it is nice to have a reliable eating place so close.
I was in town for the 2025 NAFSA conference and stayed at the Marriott Marquis. On my last night I made a reservation here and was not disappointed. Food and service was delicious. My family and I all had the short rib ragu, which we definitely recommend!
During the second brunch I hosted with the group, the server was noticeably inattentive. There were no refills offered for coffee or water, and I eventually had to get up and find the server myself. It was disappointing, especially since this brunch was an important meeting for my company. I had hoped to create a comfortable and professional setting for meaningful conversations, but the lack of basic service impacted the overall experience.
