Instagram-able place with cute looking dishes. But the amount of sweetness just makes you feel gross. It’s just too much.

I came here per Grok’s suggestion for a desert spot in San Diego!
We tried the triple berry cheesecake and bread pudding. The visuals were very inviting but the taste was super disappointing. It was also very sweet and greasy. We didn’t finish as it simply didn’t feel worth the calories and we do not recommend trying the place. Don’t be taken by the visuals. All that glitters is not Gold!!!

Waited 15 minutes until I realized you need to order at cash register. Staff was not helpful. And taste was nothing extraordinary, presentation and creative cake ideas were fine but taste is key. Only one of 3 had great flavors and the brûlée was gross later- threw it out.

The pastries wasn’t really good, but are acceptable. The environment and the personal attitude was exceptional.

My review is mostly employed based as any customer knows this can make or break any experience.
Greeted by the lady behind the desert counter 4pm today when we walked in but it stopped there.
Why did you make me chase you up and down the counter asking questions about the different desserts to just apologize stating you were rearranging things.
Management I’m sure you would be infuriated with the interaction we just had!
Gave a second star as the dessert was solid..

The cake was alright ( just alright not great) but not sure if it’s worth the inflated price. Don’t think would come back either for the cake or for the price. The only good think is the Staff ; They are wonderful here.

The guy at the register treated my special needs daughter very rudely, yanking a menu from her hands bc she attempted to grab it. Kids as well as customers deserve respect.
We were shocked and speechless. Terrible! We won't come back.
I tried the blueberry cheesecake , I liked that it was not as sweet and not too much cheese.
The staff is friendly and the waiting was not long

Ordered the raspberry coffee cake and the almond chocolate strudel and while the presentation was beautiful both the flavor and texture of each were lacking and very bland. We ended up having a few bites and just throwing it away. We were really surprised considering the other great reviews and the prices per dessert. I hope they improve these treats to truly be extraordinary not just ok.

Always seem to be out of the shangri-la cake. If one of the most popular cakes is always running out ...how about making more of the cake 🎂

Sassy Asianish male cashier needs to tone it down and be retrained to input orders correctly.
