Food was tasty but lukewarm. Service was a little slow. Outdoor venue should serve their food on preheated plates,just average.

The fig and ricotta toast was delish! Our guests enjoyed the hamburgers and we really appreciated the waitress finding a quiet table for us. Many thanks.

Overall our experience was pleasant. Food was delightful and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

This was our third visit to The Farmer & the Seahorse! All dishes have been delicious. My husband loved the burger and the entree salads are wonderful! The service is superb! You must try their cookies!!

We love this place so much! My kids are under 5...we like brunch...we don't like to be rude...they love to play outside...aka THIS PLACE nails it all! Parent hack (not heathy don't come at me!) is to sit down and immediately order lemonades and pastry basket (4 warm full sized amazing pastries that are not boring: soft and full bodied cinnamon roll with the best icing, iced fruit scone that is hearty, flaky and soft, a blueberry muffin (divine so who cares if it's #basic), banana toffee muffin (my kids steal this one every single time). We also get the fruit bowl...this pleasantly surprised me in that it's $9 worth of blackberries, strawberries and blueberries with a wee bit of mint sprinkled in. Usually fruit bowls are lame. I always get the fried chicken under an egg and on top of fluffy biscuits with sausage gravy...freaking awesome! Every.single.time. Hubs gets burger or tacos. Awesome. Sister has gotten quiche...excellent. Overall the food is always well done, flavorful, adaptable, creative, but not over the top. We then let the kids get feral. The outside has a fun life sized tractor that is fun and relatively safe to climb. The faux green front yard is within eyesight of most of the first or second toes of the outside. Aka kids can be running around with a watchful albeit not helicopter eye. Babies and families set up blankies as well. Corn hole, connect four, room to kick balls, tree to climb you name it. Boozie drinks are great. I get maple or lavender coffee every time. Perfect place for showers, brunches with groups, bridal. Live music that has not once disappointed. All artists have been perfection. Bathrooms are plentiful and clean. Parking is a no brainer. See you next week!

Such a cute place! We did a Torrey Pines hike and then came to get brunch. It is in a weird, out of the way location, but the drinks were amazing, our brunch was delicious and the vibe was so chill and fun. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere and service are great. A classy venue for professional events as well as a pleasure dining experience. Beautiful design, exterior and interior. The food that I have experienced here is not up to par with the rest of the establishment. I expect better chopped vegetables, nicer plating and a goggles lever of flavor. There is definitely room for improvement on food front. The rest is great. I recommend it as an experience, but take a look at the menu beforehand and don’t expect too much. A decent meal, just not top notch.

Let me start by saying that the Farmer and Seahorse is our favorite place for brunch. Like all restaurants in San Diego they are short staffed because of the cost of living. Our server messed up on things, food sent to the wrong table etc. the manager took all the items that were mishandled and took them off our bill he also gave us a gift certificate to come back. We love this place.

Service is excellent - attentive host and waiter. Food fresh and delicious plus delivered to table quickly.

such a lovely location and environment with all ages and types of people...gorgeous day didn't hurt. interesting menu and drink choices and good service...didn't rush us at all.
