Tiny overwater taproom on the shelter island pier. Awesome beer selection in a unique location. Highly recommend!

Got bait and rented pole to fish off the pier. I did not order food but patron there appeared to be enjoying the fare. We had a good time.

I travel to San Diego at least twice a month for work I always stay on shelter island and 50 percent of the reason is because of fathom. I love the food. Staff. Beer selection and the view. I often walk across the street from my hotel with my laptop. Sit in the sun. Have some food. Beer and work. I’ve never had a bad experience and doubt I ever will. My wife and I LOVE this place.
My wife and i came here to get her a hotdog and the guy at the counter not only rude but very disrespectful, my wife loves your hotdogs but didnt want brunch the guy gave her an attitude, i love how you can buy a beer but not a hotdog my wife says shes never coming back ever again.
Edit: First half of your response makes sense, probably should have just left it off there. Second half seems like you guys just don't take to negative criticism well. Secondly, what do reviews at other businesses have anything to do with the experience at yours? That's just petty for you to say that. Also, do you delete all the 1 star reviews you receive so potential customers can't see them? That seems kinda disrespectful to me. I'm happy to take our business elsewhere, there are plenty of restaurants in San Diego.

Not bad had the kimchi burger not as good as I remember it. It was difficult to eat on Italian bread, just disorganized and the Kimchi had no taste. For the price they need to try harder, put some effort into it.

Always have to come here whenever I'm in the area... such a unique and fun experience. The food is always great and coupled with a huge choice of good, craft beer and a spectacular location right on the water can't be beat. The view of San Diego across the bay at dusk... wow!

Love this spot, been here now twice since traveling to San Diego and nothing beats starting your day out here with a Loco Moco and a cold beer. Inside has great ambience, service is super friendly and food is great. Can’t wait to keep coming out here.

We were on Shelter Island for my daughter's wedding. My dad had mentioned what he called a hot dog place, but we had been unable to make it there all week. Our last night there we decided we'd check out Fathom. It was right across the road and it was a lovely evening. It's right on the pier and there is dedicated seating available.
I don't remember what everyone had but we all enjoyed it very much. I had the Greek burger and it was so amazing, I didn't even stop eating to take a photo. I also don't remember which drink I had but it also really hit the spot and I loved the glass. We had a lot of really great food during our time in San Diego and on Shelter Island, but this one ranks right up there. Definitely give it a try for a laid-back yet delicious meal. Or even just a couple drinks some afternoon. You will not regret it.

Not too bad. Brat was dry and the wait was very long. The one pictured is $15 and came with a skimpy amount of onions. The hot dogs are good though.

Great beer selection and lots of unique and tasty food options. The tables fill up, but if you can snag one it's a great vibe to just relax and watch the boats. Also thanks to Migs, who was great when we went for dinner!
