Was craving for some authentic street tacos which are hard to get in Clairemont but we thought a food truck is the best way to go. I will mention that they charge extra for extra salsas and they only give you one lime wedge and one salsa no matter what you order from the menu. I made a taco flight by ordering the pollo asada, carne asada, carnita, veggie, and shrimp tacos. We got the quesadilla and surf & turf burrito as well. the tacos and burrito were smaller than anticipated, we had to go back and order more food since we weren't full from what we got. Their self service ordering kiosk is kind of cool however because the location is next to a brewery, they don't serve any drinks :( no horchata or jarritos here. The food wasn't bad, just not fully satisfied

I’ve given Chachos Tacos multiple chances, but I won't be returning after my most recent experience. Ordering is done through a tablet, which seems efficient, but the reality is far from it. I ordered three tacos, and it took more than 20 minutes to receive my food. The food is good, but by the time you get it, it's cold.
This was my third time visiting to try their taco of cochinita with jicama, but for the third time, they were out of it. Instead, they gave me a regular taco, charged an extra dollar, and didn’t bother to inform me of the substitution. The service is seriously lacking, with only three people working and no real sense of customer care.
If you're looking to leave disappointed and in a bad mood, this is the place to go. It’s a shame because Chachos Tacos has the potential to be a great spot, but the poor service and lack of customer focus make it impossible to enjoy. Unfortunately, I won’t be going back.

While in town for business, I couldn’t wait to have some tacos in San Diego. After a quick search, I found this place…and felt comfortable going there based on its very good and consistent reviews.
I can say, without a doubt, these are top-tier tacos (probably among the best, if not THE best I’ve ever had)! Totally worth the drive, and a definite recommend for anyone coming to San Diego!!!

I ordered their catering service for my Baby Shower and boy was it hit with our guests! I was initially skeptical because the prices were really good, but wow these tacos are good. We ordered the carne asada and pollo adobada. I actually made a mistake (I misread their confirmation) as I meant to order pork adobada, I realized this the day of which was obviously too late so never mentioned my mistake to them, but this was one of the best mistakes I could have made because that pollo adobada was the best meat we've had, and their carne asada is really good too! Btw, their red salsa is hot but addictingly good, I can't stop thinking about it and I'm looking forward to coming back to their taco truck to get more for myself.
We got catering for 60 people, everyone was able to get multiple plates of tacos and we still were able to have left overs after.
The service was also great, we had two people come on time, we didn't have much space at the house but made it work on our driveway. They made it so easy for us.
I can't recommend Chacos Tacos enough, best tacos I've had along with amazing service and price.

I recently hired Chacos Tacos for a birthday party and had an excellent experience. I spoke with Manny to arrange everything, and they were prompt, professional, and ready on the day of the event. The food was absolutely delicious and a huge hit with all the guests. Everything was provided, which made it incredibly easy and stress-free.
