Visited this cute bakery during their soft open. Happened to be walking by in the strip mall at the time and Princess Zelda, our American Akita, decided she wanted to walk in and see what was going on. I don’t eat a lot of sweets but I love bakeries and I love to buy dessert for the sugar hounds in my life. We strolled in and the display was excellent. Everything looked spectacular! All of the staff were fun and friendly and fell in love with Princess Zelda on the spot. Several people came out of the kitchen/prep area to meet her and they had freshly made doggy treats on hand which Zelda appreciated. I bought several things including chocolate chip cookies which I did eat and from family and friends who ate the other delectables everything was delicious. I’ve been in a few times since then and their business is growing and it’s well deserved. Go take a gander at Flour Atelier, San Diego, and keep this bakery thriving!

I like to go to Flour Atelier about once a week - I am obsessed with their iced lavender matcha! Any pastry you get is 5 stars too! Every time I go in there the staff is super nice. I get flour atelier desserts for people's birthdays, for parties, and just for myself. :) I recently had them for both my bridal shower (earl grey cheesecake bites and matcha puff pastry) and wedding (sakura macarons and bibingka hearts) and they were always a hit! Chrisell was great to work with, she worked hard to get the bibingka hearts to be the perfect size for my vision and even let me do a tasting to make sure the size and consistency was what I wanted. Always blown away by how good this bakery is! If you want your desserts to not just be food - but cute and pretty too! - then I would highly recommend flour atelier. :)

I had to try a few items here everything looks super cute. It's minimal inside but very clean. The staff person was very helpful and we had a nice chat. I got about 5 items to try, the berry cake and tiramisu cupcake were my favorite. Im not a fan of Macha so I can't say I liked the Macha oreo heart. The sweetness is light as are the cakes its like clouds of happiness. you can tell these are made fresh and with quality ingredients. Great treat for my family.

Stay away from their Pandan. As a lover for Pandan I have high hopes, but no offense to this cupcake, but it taste like cake mix with green food coloring, added in. I didn’t taste the pandan and if Idid it seemed artificial. Very disappointed in this flavor. But I will go and try the tiramisu, earl grey and ube next. 😢

Please never leave me. These are best cupcakes I've had in San Diego. Perfectly moist cake, delicate frosting texture and the flavors are just right and not overpowering. I love that they source from other local businesses for their tea and coffee, and that they us Monin syrups. My new favorite place for a treat. Thank you!
I could not recommend this place more. I need more stars to give them. Earl Grey cupcake: AMAZING! Yuzu cupcake: AMAZING! Turon cupcake: AMAZING! And all the sponges are so light and fluffy and delicate, the flavors are all so pronounces and delicious. Also got the cream puff which one of these workers said that they had helped to develop!!!!! OMG, must try and give her a raise. Finally for pastries, also got the ube and calamansi cheesecakes…. Buy out the stock when you see them. The filling is so soft and delicious, the tart shell is so buttery. Again, I need more stars to give them. I was sent here to have my first matcha experience and that did not disappoint either. We got the black sesame matcha with oat milk: DROOOOOLLLL my mouth is watering just remembering it. I fear matcha was ruined for me by how good this was. My friend said what made it so good was they whisk it up by hand. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! The food was enough to make me come back but that doesn’t even wrap up the full experience. The staff was so kind and doesn’t give that generic customer service so many other places offer. Again, raises! You get a raise and you get a raise! I will be back so many more times and will be telling everyone I know that this place is a must must must. Please support them, please enjoy their delicious offerings.
