We came and visited the gift shop in the natural history museum. Within the gift shop is this café and it was really cute. We got a small cup of iced tea of some flavor, but I don’t remember. It had berries or something in it. It was really good. The person that made it and served it was very nice. We didn’t get any food, but I bet it would be good. Overall, we had a really nice experience here.
The Flying Squirrel Cafe is a small, but nice cafe in the first floor of the San Diego Natural History Museum. The menu is very simple, but has enough variety for just about anyone looking for a hot drink, refreshments or a quick bit to eat. We had the soup of the day (Lentil Soup today) and the Fire Bird Sandwich. Everything was very nicely prepared. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions regarding the menu. Overall, good experience and I recommend Flying...
Friendly staff, top shelf grilled cheese is really really good. Espresso is very very bitter. I wasn't a fan but if you like that then you would like it. Wait time was about 7 to 10 minutes for the sandwich. Prices were reasonable.
