This was once one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego and I'd send all my friends here. Great food, good service, all wrapped up in a lively but cozy and inviting package. However, my party and I visited on 3/28/24 and every single one of us got severe food poisoning from our meal. I contacted CH restaurant group and never heard back. Not hearing back about something so serious is concerning and the lack of accountability and customer care prompts me to never dine here again.

The meal started with no one upfront to seat us when we got there. The music was so loud that we couldn't even hear each other from across the table. We ordered off of a very small menu and while we were waiting the couple next to us got their food, tried it, and promptly paid their bill and left without taking any leftovers. We got our food and wasn't impressed by any of it. We ordered the General YSO's chicken, cucumber salad, steamed rice, and Crab Rangoon. One of the things we ordered, the cucumber salad, which said nothing about being spicy but it was so spicy we couldn't eat it. The server was very nice and she could tell we weren't happy. She did take some things off our bill and discount the rest. I took the rest of the food home in to-go boxes just to be polite. I wanted to like this place, and I hate writing bad reviews, the decor is great, but there's just no way I can go back.

Such a great atmosphere and food! Service was great. We sat outside and there were heaters and not too much noise. The food comes out hot and fast! We love coming here and can't wait till next time!

Great experience. The wait was long but well worth it. Really good Chinese food. Big portions, excellent for sharing. Great food, service and the ambiance was fantastic, super cute, the ceiling is decorated as Chinese garden. Definitely recommend it.

祸不单行 Huò bù dān xíng Disasters do not walk alone. Much like all attempts at Chinese food in San Diego, this is another unfortunate disaster. I had high hopes that were left entirely unmet. We ordered staple dishes after faithfully waiting in line for the dinner opening. Upon first few bites, we told the server to box the remainder to go. Straight in the first rubbish bin we came across. Complete waste of time, odd tasting at best, and an overall unfortunate experience. When I asked a native Chinese co-worker where he ate Chinese food out, he said there was no good Chinese food in San Diego. At best, PF Changs is where he took his family. Wow...simply...wow! Overall rating - AVOID!

Waited two hours to be seated on a Sunday night but definitely worth the wait! I have never had Chinese food like this !!! The best I've ever tasted. We had orange chicken, broccoli and beef and the fried rice I really wanted to try the kung pao chicken but by the time it'll we were ready to order they had ran out The portions are big! It was just two of us and honestly two other ppl could have ate with us and they're would have been enough. loved the ambiance and aesthetic. Will always make it a point to stop by when ever I'm near San Diego.

The food was very good, after 2 attempts we were finally able to eat there, the host was very friendly, for being from Mexicali with delicious Chinese food this is a very good option in San Diego, it is a pain to find parking and reservation but it is worth it! !

Dined in the restaurant once to experience it, which was nice, but it is very small and you do feel like you're sitting a little too close to others. I prefer to order take out but either way, I really enjoy the food! Honey walnut shrimp is a must!

Like most CH projects, fabulous design, solid food. Not life changing. There was a 45-60 minute wait so my friend and I ordered takeout and ate it at Polite Provisions next door. It was a Monday, so there was plenty of room. It would be a stellar date night plan!

Great food we ordered to go. We ordered garlic noodle, orange chicken and fried rice.
