I felt like the food and experience did not match the price tag. Nothing really blew me away, the food was decent but it left us feeling like we could've done better at home. The service was a little poor but other staff made up for it. You're really paying for the location and view.

I'm sadden to say I might not be having my next Valentine's Day dinner here. My husband have been coming to this beautiful place for the past 6 years consecutively and has been our top choice for every anniversary,birthday and Valentine's Day. However, this time around we were both extremely disappointed. We always book many weeks in advance and also try as much as possible to add to my notes that we would like a table close to the glass windows. About 100% of the time, when we book weeks an advance, we get an amazing view. But for some reason this time around that did not happen. Which helps us under the restaurant doesn't care about the clients loyalty. Aside from that, the food was fantastic as always but we were disappointed to know that we couldn't order any extra sides as last year on Valentine's Day, we were allowed to do so. Needless to say, we will be thinking twice about having a special dinner here because we come here for not only the food but the view that makes Island prime really special. But it doesn't feel special when you are not able to get up look at the view without getting in another party's way.

The food was amazing, with the exception of the mashed potatoes. The consistency was soft, smooth, and airy, however, there was absolutely no taste. No seasoning, no salt pepper no butter no nothing. Really bland would not order again. The service and staff were absolutely amazing. Only suggestion other than mashed potato fix is the ambience or the inside decor reminds me of late 1990s Seattle grunge. It just seems like the restaurant is stuck in the 90s decor wise. Food was absolutely phenomenal and staff as always were amazing.

Overall, Island Prime falls short of a quality steakhouse. The views are amazing, but that's about it. The service lacked attention to detail and the food was mediocre for the price. We always have a much better experience at C-Level which is always excellent quality that we pay less for.

Great meal and service. Collin was very professional and attentive. The staff were friendly and the ambience is romantic. Highly recommended.

Food was good. I can't give 5 stars when orders are messed up. There were only 3 of us and they switched our orders so I had a steak that was undercooked and my friend had one that was overcooked. Really? You want to charge us over $200 each and you can't get a basic restaurant function right? If you want to charge prime/premium prices. Get the details right!

The food and service was outstanding. We will return to this restaurant on our next vacation to San Diego. Thanks for a great experience! Terry

With this benefit we are automatically supposed to get an exclusive table. That didn't happen. Upon asking the hostess for a different table with a view, she said it would be another 30 minute wait because that's how long it would take the busser to bus that table. Coming from the restaurant business, I know that's absolutely absurd. Luckily the lead hostess stepped in and said that she would take care of us. We then were seated at one of the best tables Island Prime has to offer. If it weren't for that situation the service rating would have been 5 stars.

Ala Carte meals priced at this level should not also require an additional 5% sur charge added to food and drinks to offset rising materials costs. Server was condescending, and not attentive. We had to ask other servers for the items we need after our meals were delivered. Not our favorite.

The views are amazing, and our server, Andrew, was excellent, but the meal for the price was really disappointing. Two of our 3 meals arrived slightly cold, but not enough to interrupt our dinner to send back. Really just mediocre food that you could get for half the price elsewhere. The Top of the Market is a much nicer choice for this price point! Or, just go to Coasterra or C Level for the same view but better food!

Island Prime continues to be one of our top choices for a nice dinner. Outstanding food, great service, and a beautiful view! A constant 10 out of 10!
