Alexis, our waiter, was great! He did his best to accommodate all of our needs for my wife's birthday; however, the $55 sashimi assortment we had were less than adequate in size of each piece and the Toro cuts were not Toro. I've had enough Toro through my years to know that those cuts weren't Toro sashimi slices. I'm not one to make a fuss in public nor am I one to put place a bad review and cause hurt to an establishment but I am a consumer willing to place a review at the end of the day. This isn't my first dinner at Full moon and will not visit again. Full Moon isn't what it used to be and is becoming outdated, if not already.

Overhyped and over priced . Music is WAY too loud and so small you can’t have an intimate setting … such a shame .

The sushi is overpriced for the poor quality and small portions. Terrible management

Overpriced for the quality. Was really hoping that this would be better than some of the other sushi in the area but overall I really can’t recommend it. Plenty of similarly priced restaurants with higher quality food, service, and atmosphere.

The staff at this restaurant were very friendly, but unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The place could use a good cleaning, and the food was just okay. The rice in the sushi was poorly cooked, though the fish seemed fresh. However, seeing stale, old produce in the fridge was off-putting. Even the lime wedge in my tea was soggy and seemed like it had been reused or was past its prime. It's clear that more attention to quality and cleanliness is needed.

The fresh sea urchin was excellent.
The Nigiri special was good, but not exceptional

I came to San Diego for a long weekend and this was truly one of the best meals my fiancé and I had during our trip! Our service was wonderful and our server offered helpful recommendations. The highlights for us were the clam miso soup, carpaccio, and Sailor Moon roll.

Work took me to San Diego. Stayed at the GasLamp District and ventured off to find some sustenance! Craving for the night was sushi.
Found Full Moon Sushi on Yelp and headed over!
Had some beers, some sushi... Sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful early evening weather! Service was good! Ambiance was good! Sushi was ok at best. We'll try another place next time we're around...

Full Moon Sushi. This is a chain of restaurants with various locations. Turned out we actually tried another one of their restaurants before. The one in Tustin...

Disappointing. Food was sub par and service was poor. Had to ask for plates and chopsticks. Sushi took forever to get and the server who brought it apologized both times. Rice was not good and the fish was not very fresh. My boyfriend got sick after dinner. Was excited to try this out as we were traveling from out of town and chose it based on high reviews. Sadly, would not recommend.

The ambience of this place was so inviting. The quality of sushi and experience at the sushi bar was amazing. Thank you Chef Kevin, Alex & Staff. Memorable experience. See you all soon!

Excellent sushi place. It's right in Gaslamp District SD. We sat at the bar and had several dishes. We tried several items we have never tried before. The sushi was very fresh. The staff was very helpful and courteous. It was a little bit on the pricey side. But, you get what you pay for. Well worth it and will be a spot to stop in the future when we are back in SD.

This modern sushi restaurant in downtown San Diego is a great spot. It's a little small, but it has a cool vibe and great service. The food is amazing. Not your typical Japanese fare. You have to try the seasonal offerings and sake options.

It was/is a very nice restaurant however we would have preferred a table not so close to the front door. It was kind of crowded and felt like we were in the middle of a busy intersection. We were seated immediately behind the maitre d. The traffic pattern with the wait staff and the incoming patrons made it feel a little crowded. Too much activity all around us! Food was outstanding and the service was great overall.
