“This restaurant was so mysterious to us. I came across an Instagram video but we couldn’t find anything about it… not a menu or even what kind of food was served. So I made it my mission to get in here. Let me tell you it was not easy! I stalked opentable like it was the only thing that mattered.. No one answers the phone- So don’t bother calling.
When we got there, the hostess wasn’t happy we were an hour early ( we could only get a 9:45 reservation and wanted to see if we could be sat early) but told us we can wait at the bar. The place was sooooo beautiful, like stunning!!! At the bar, the bartender was busy chatting with his friend that we got semi ignored… the drinks were good though. When we were finally sat in the main dining area, it was BEAUTIFUL. The decorator was talented, it was like an oasis.. all pretty!! My issue- it was half empty. I have no idea why we’re waiting so long… there was even a whole empty section.
The food was okay. Kind of a let down if I’m being honest. It was presented nicely but for the price we paid for this “experience” I was disappointed for sure. I’m a foodie and things were good but not like omg good…“

“Yesterday's early lunch at the Public House was idyllic. This spot never disappoints, in fact, with each visit I am more enchanted. The food was great. Drinks were generous, tasty and chilled and the server was phenomenal. She was friendly, sweet and efficient. She kept a close eye on our drinks and check in with us a number of times to see that we had all that we needed. A delightful lunch.“

“Zanzibar is a chill above average (for price center) restaraunt. Decent selection if you are not concerned with your health and you eat meat. There is plenty of seating that can accommodate groups of 5 or more. It's an ideal location to host a lab lunch or host some visiting academics.“

“This was my second time here with my son. He has good food and good beer. You order at your table through a QR code and they deliver it to the table you order drinks at the bar and anything else you would like to sip on it it’s a dog friendly environment And it totally relaxed for a good time.“

“Favorite college neighborhood bar. Their natural wine selection is always on point as well as their beer selection. Food is delicious. I love that they always have seasonal menu items depending on what’s in season. Pool is free, AC kicks butt, and they have a great outdoor space if you ever did have a larger group. Dogs are also allowed which is nice if we ever wanna bring our pup.“

“The mongonada mocktail SLAPS‼️‼️ Also got a lovely tandoori chicken with a delicious mint chutney 😍😍 I sat at the bar, behind which they run Bollywood movies from Amazon Prime on the TV. Captions are on, for your reading pleasure. Great vibes inside, and the bartender was super sweet. 🥹“

“My partner and I have been here a few times and it's always such a blast. As soon as we walk in we're greeted by the human embodiment of a ray of sunshine, Annika the hostess. The drinks and food are delicious and a great deal, the vibes are always right, and they always have the best games on. Definitely recommend!“
