Honestly never write any reviews, but I genuinely did not have a good experience at the restaurant. Overall very busy and it seems the restaurant didn't have enough people, food came much later than every over KBBQ place I have been to with our poor server working his arse off serving 8 or more tables. He is genuinely very hardworking, but the meat was of small portion, we had to order sauce that didn't come until 40 minutes into our meal. Even the free water came much later than it should....The worst thing is the cashier's service attitude. I always talk respectfully, and when I simply told her you need more people, she responded with such sarcasm that I did not understand why, almost like I am not a customer. Me and my partner both agreed to never go back again.

Went for lunch, horrible service, never checked up on us, and we had to ask a man at the bar who was not our server to order meats. Lied to us over the phone that we could split the bill 4 ways. Do not come to this Gen KBBQ.

As someone who has tried multiple kbbq restaurants, this one has been the most disappointing. To begin, our waiter seemed very pushy for us to order the premium dinner option emphasizing we could drink as much as we wanted for 2.50. After we stated we would do the regular dinner option and stick with water, his demeanor towards us changed to extremely dismissive. Our grill was not changed once throughout our entire meal despite having burnt sauces stuck on it. They also forgot to bring us some meats we ordered two separate times and it took forever to get our card back after having paid. As if the service wasnt bad enough, the meat portions were mediocre. There werent any full pieces of meat, it seems like we were being served the left over crumbs. The corn cheese portion was also a joke, filling only 1/4 of the container it came in. I understand wanting to prevent food waste, but I have never been served this small of a portion at any other kbbq. The bulgogi fries we ordered also came cold with unmelted cheese on them, we had to put them on the grill.

Ant was great — super friendly, attentive, and easygoing. The spot itself is really nice, with a chill vibe that makes you want to stay a while. And the hotteok? Absolutely delicious — crispy on the outside, soft and gooey inside. Ant made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Thank you!

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t come back here nor can I recommend this KBBQ. I came here last night by myself at 9:19PM on Saturday. The restaurant was very slow, and barely anyone was in there.

My server, Neil B, kept trying to rush me during my dinner to leave. He brought me x2 of everything I ordered (appetizers and meats). When the 4 big plates of meats came, he poured all 3 of them onto the grill without asking me. So once those finished cooking and I take them off to eat, he comes back around, takes the 4th plate of meat sitting on the table and he pours it onto the grill. I had to legit take the cold meat off the grill before it cooks, so I could actually have time to enjoy my meal and all the meat he had placed on the grill prior. The thin sliced meats were also very dry and tasted like plain ground beef (almost like cardboard).

About 50 minutes later into my meal, the waiter (Neil B), places the check on the table (I didn’t even ask for it yet).

This experience was super disappointing. For this to be a restaurant that just recently opened up about a month ago, this is horrible. It is very apparent why the restaurant is super empty on a Saturday night. The employees and staff will be the initial downfall of this place.

Went for dinner and e were the first seated and the last served and that was after stopping the manager twice. Did not receive my drink or two special items. This Gen is definitely not equipped for busy nights and I was very disappointed

My friends and I were really excited to try out Gen Kbbq having it be located in UTC, however it was incredibly disappointing. Our waiter was Howe for the evening, and the service took years for us to get more rounds in, and it felt like he would purposely walk by our table super fast so he wouldn’t have to talk to us. He was also incredibly rude at the end when we were trying to pay and he kept talking down at me when I asked a simple question. He also wouldn’t write anything down and had to constantly ask what we asked for but then still give us the wrong plates. Once we did finally put in a round, it would took extremely long to get to our table and it still had to cook. If I knew We were going to be waiting at least 15-20 min inbetween each round, and the meat quality was also really poor. I would have just driven to convoy for KBBQ, and other place would have been better then Gen KBBQ

Food is alright, doesn’t make up for poor service. No greeting from the host we were just expected to follow her. Staff isn’t very friendly, overall subpar service and very average food.

I never write reviews but I just think that it needs to be said! The service was horrible, and the food was worse. To start off we came in and stood by the door for 5 mins before we were even acknowledged. Once acknowledge we were sat down it took about 20 mins before we got our first meat! And when we had originally ordered we asked for a lychee and pomegranate soju fruit drink! We were at the restaurant for an hour ish and never received it! We also received tortillas that had green spot when we told them about it, they took them away and said they were sorry but it was part of the packaging the tortillas came in and not mold… overall a bad experience! Omg and fyi the rice was just mush like legit mush.

We came in at around 12:30 PM on Saturday, the place was understaffed and took forever to get us food. Our waiter Mike did a phenomenal job saving it all by being nice and professional. Some meats were weird, some great. Overall, it’s clear they are just starting.

I’m going to give 4 stars just bc it just opened and I’m hoping this feedback will give them room for improvement. Staff and atmosphere were great, food unfortunately not at the same level. All the sides arrived fridge cold, edamame in particular was literally frozen. Meats some of them were good, other extra marinated. The boba in my boba tea was so gummy it was uneatable. I’ll try to go back in a month or so to see if it was just a bad day… I hope so.
