Giovanni's Italian Restaurant

My daughter and I came here after a long day and drive with college stuff and we were starving and we had the best time with the most amazing food! My daughter ordered half the stuff in the menu and it was all so yummy and amazing! Everything was homemade and high quality. I got grilled chicken and I put my pizza toppings on top of the chicken with some Alfredo sauce and it was so amazing!! We definitely recommend this place! When we are back in the area this is definitely the place to eat! They have something for everyone and you won't be disappointed! Thank you for such amazing food and amazing time!!

The Thai chicken pizza was very flavorful with the peanut sauce. The pizza dough was not greasy. The prices for the pizzas were reasonable. The service was great.

We were in San Diego for a few days and wanted to try a new dinner place.  Since we stayed at Hotel Circle we looked around and found Giovanni's Italian Restaurant...AND WHAT A FIND IT WAS!

We stopped by Friday. My wife tried the Rosata pasta, and she loved it! I tried their Fra Diavolo, and it was very good. The servings were big, and the dinners came with garlic bread.

Saturday afternoon, we were looking for a place for dinner and discussing what to do, and we both said...I wish I had tried the other dish at Giovanni's.  So we went back!

When we travel, we try to visit a different restaurant every night to try different flavors, but the food at Giovanni's was so good that we both wanted to try another dish.

This time, she tried the Chicken Marsala, and I tried the Pasta Pescatore....both of the dishes were very good.

Since we both shared each other's plates, we got to try four different dishes, and they were all great.

We are already discussing returning here the next time we visit San Diego.

Yummy! Great selection of foods and kid-friendly. They have very limited seating inside and parking is very compact, but it is worth it to try it out! They do not have a dedicated kid’s menu, but they have kid sized pizzas and pastas available…just tell your server! We will be loyal customers from now on:)

And they are vegetarian friendly. Although the menu is not clearly labeled vegetarian or vegan, there are many pasta, pizza, salad, and appetizers available for vegetarians. And if you are uncertain about something, the servers will gladly answer any questions about food ingredients. I highly recommend the asparagus and zucchini appetizer and the spaghetti with marinara sauce.

I lived close to Giovanni's when they were on Balboa Ave and was happy to find the same great food (with more menu items) and service in a spacious modern setting. Enjoyed the chicken garlic pizza, veal and chicken parmigiana. Fast and friendly service.

We tried them tonight while on town on vacation. We needed good food after a long day & it was wonderful food! Food is absolutely delish from pasta to pizzas. While not fancy or big, it is worth going for the food & service.
