Tried Gloria's (aka La Haciendita per the sign out front) for the first time and we loved it. All the reviews talked about the stuffed bolillos so we tried the machaca and the jalapeño chorizo and they were great. We got a few different types of pan dulce and were not disappointed. Friendly staff too! We will definitely be back to try all the different stuffed bolillos.
This has to be (in my humble opinion) the best panadería in all of San Diego County. The diversity in selection, freshness, and pricing cannot be easily matched. The capirotada (Mexican bread pudding), empanadas, and bolillos rellenos are my go-tos, but, frankly, I've never been disappointed. I only came to know of this place because Gloria was a tenant of mine about 8 years ago. This place used to be Gloria's Bakery, but now it is "Haciendita Mexican Bakery."" I stopped in to pick up a few Mexican sweet breads to take home. I purchased a couple of elote pasta at $1.09 each and a biscuit for $1.09 as well. Each of the breads were good. After warming, the elote pans were very moist and tasty.
