The spring rolls were okay but overall I wouldn't come back. Nothing had flavor and I ordered a side of white rice and it was so old it was literally crunchy.

We stopped here after my tattoo appointment last week and we were ready to EAT! I was pleasantly surprised at all of the vegan options Goi Cuon had to offer, from the different spring rolls, to the Banh Mi to the drinks. You can order Thai Iced tea or Vietnamese coffee with Coconut milk. Our order: - Vegan combo #4 which comes with 2 different spring rolls, fried vegan roll, fried tofu, and one dumpling. -Vegan Pho - vegan ham, fried tofu, a bunch of veggies -Vegan Banh Mi We asked for no mayo, just to be super safe and not assume they leave it off but they do! We were told that it does not come with the mayo. The food is fresh and flavorful. Oftentimes, vegetarian or vegan pho lacks a lot of flavor and creativity but not at Goi Cuon. We even ordered food to go. My only complaint is that each spring roll in 1 order comes with 1 roll for $3, that's a bummer. Other than that, I wish they were closer.

Great food. Good portions. Awesome price. We had the pho and the combo #1. I loved the three sauces that come with the combo. Service was fast as well.

This restaurant definitely deserves top ranks and let me tell you why. So Goi Cuon has been on my list for quite some time but since it's quite out of the way from where we normally hang out, I never had the opportunity. Just to forewarn you, parking is very limited.. and you want to avoid parking in chase. We found $4/hr parking a little bit down the alley between the plaza and Chase that's not a far distance away. So I'm a huge mom-and-pop restaurant lover and this place surpassed my expectations. We dined in, but they do have a counter for those who need a quick take out order. There's a limited amount of seating, just fyi. I ordered Combo #2 and hubby ordered the special pho and we got a couple additional goi cuon to share. Everything on my plate was amazing. The shrimp roll was perfectly fried and full of flavor... the chicken dumpling had the perfect combo of crispy with moist and savory fillings.. I always love a good crispy tofu with sweet and sour sauce, the firmness was ideal!.. the spring pork sausage with crispy filling roll was really flavorful and that peanut sauce was EVERYTHING.. but, the star of my dish was the beef pho roll. Oh. My. Goodness. It gave off basil/coconut flavors with each bite! You must use the coconut sauce, it literally makes it SO good. The beef was SO flavorful and so tender. It was nothing I could have anticipated and such a great find. Absolutely loved it! As a side dish, we also ordered the sugarcane shrimp and beef goi cuon which were really good - the peanut sauce really completed this dish. Hubby enjoyed his pho: his high notes are the broth and the generous portions of meat. If you like pho with more meat than noodles, you'll be pleasantly happy to order their pho. Finished off with a Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk to go and it was definitely one of the best Vietnamese meals I've ever had in San Diego. I'm quite jealous of Hillcrest and this amazing gem. I will literally go out of my way to come back here - AMAZING.

The vermicelli bowl with pork and egg rolls is sooo good, you all need to get this. The Vietnamese iced coffee is also delicious, and isn't so strong to the point where you're having heart palpitations

since we were in the area we had to try the spring rolls theyre known for. ANd YESSS its yummay! its not your typical spring roll. its simple but all the flavor is there, perfect with the dip, its not the peanut dip either. It was busy. parking lot is extremely tight and small.

Amazing banh mi! We had the pork and beef ones and we really enjoyed it. It's full of flavor and made for a great on-the-go dinner.
