Great food, nice atmosphere and vibe. Little display of local trinkets and things. Employees were real nice and the dinning area was very clean. Certainly pricey but I felt I received good value.

I ordered a corned beef sandwich on rye. Standard for a Jewish deli. It was the worst sandwich of my life. The corned beef was thick cut and rubbery. I literally couldn’t even chew through it. The entire sandwich went into the garbage. Complete waste of money.

No table service. Only had plain bagels and plain cream cheese. Kind of weird menu for a deli maven. Hours are very limited so I guess they do a big lunch business but it was completely empty when we sat down. I guess San Diego can’t support a traditional Jewish Deli? I guess it’s Milton’s in the future

Great food and plenty of space. Jewish classics done really well. Due to its location it feels like you get some privacy which is great

The only reason it has 2 stars is because the aesthetic is pretty. I have been to this place once before and it was not good at all. The food was presented poorly and the service was terrible. I came back a second time and didnt have a good experience at all. The lady working was so unfriendly and obviously hates her life. The old man working also looked extremely miserable. I had brought my two small service pets in an enclosed carrier to eat lunch with family. They would not let me go inside with my pets and made me sit away from my party outside in the cold. Worst place ever and the food is pretty mediocre. Not to mention the lady who was miserable took my order and couldn't even say that the plate was big enough for two people when asked. It would have saved us ordering an extra bagel with cream cheese.

We met friends for lunch there and it was quiet so we could chat. Food was delicious - two had Cobb salad,,one French toast and one salad with Quinoa. Place is bright and open. Should be lovely in warm weather.

Great spot, I already can't wait to come back! The food was delicious overall. We shared the brisket dip and half + half rueben. The brisket was a bit dry but the dip sauce was so unbelievably tasty it made up for it. The breads were so good too. The side of potatoes was perfect and better than the cucumber tomato salad, which had a lot of unexpected dill and not many tomatoes. I also ordered a delish sounding iced tea, but it tasted bitter and oversteeped to me. They were nice enough to let me swap out for a hot tea, but I would have loved a solid iced black tea. It's order at the counter so I suggest adding a water station, because we had to track someone down to ask for water, which took a while to come to the table. Still such a good meal and an awesome menu with many more things I want to try!

Food was very good and the location is great with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Food is a little pricey which is why I only give 4 stars and its canned drinks for the most part so its $35 per person when all is said and done and your drinking a can of coke. Still would recommend this place the food is amazing. Ordered something simple as a french dip and it was very very good.

Nicely decorated, casual restaurant located in office building. The outdoor seating is relaxing place to spend lunchtime. Ordered the brisket sandwich and the portion was good, but unfortunately it was dry.

Who would think you would find such a gem of a breakfast and lunch spot tucked away amidst the biotech companies around Torrey Pines. This place is consistent with creative menu items, fresh ingredients and a beautiful outdoor seating area. If you are hiking Torrey Pines plan to eat here after. If you played some, golf re-fuel here. I wish I had some pics to share. I go out of my way to eat at this restaurant. Now I'm getting a hankering for their lox! Oh, their sandwiches are huge so maybe share one and save some money

Oh wow! What a great place...fabulous latkes (better than my husband's...and he makes great ones.) Yummy blintzes...Reuben sandwich... and the loaded latke is an inspiration! We have been there twice in 2 weeks and will continue to come back and explore their excellent menu. Staff is friendly...and, as with most restaurants now, the place needs more help. Many people doing takeout. We ate there both times and were very happy. We took home the best matzo ball soup I've ever had...made by Tracy's, the owner, mother. Really, really good food.. GO there...you will be glad you did.Parking: Parking is under the office building where the deli is.Turn left off of Science Park Blvd Into parking garage. Go up one floor for the deli.

What a fabulous place! My husband and I have searched for a good deli in San Diego for a long time. He makes really good latkes. Those at Gold Finch are even better! ( I haven't told him that.) The first time we went, he had a wonderful blintz. The 2nd time we went, he had the stacked latkes. I had the loaded latke and our friends...a Reuben. We were all in bliss. We took home the best matzo ball soup I've ever had. Everyone working there is really nice...many are friends of Tracy, the owner. By the way, her 70+ year old mother makes the matzo ball soup. Lots of people doing takeout...we ate there both times...and will be back. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

OMG!!! Gold Finch has the most fabulous food! My husband makes excellent latkes...I've never had any at a deli that match his. Well, Gold Finch's were better than his...I haven't told him... The first time we went, hubby David had a blintz and was in bliss. Our second visit I had the loaded latke.... terrific! We took an order of Matzo Ball soup home...and agin, excellent. (Tracy's 70+ year old mother...Tracy's the owner...makes it.) I cannot say enough good things about this place...and the people working there. She has friends helping, as she is short staffed... so, just hang in there. Lots of people were doing takeout. And, oh, our friends had Reuben sandwiches and were VERY happy.

Really pretty location and tasty food. The breakfast corned beef hash wrap was huge and delicious. Maybe a bit dry so ask for extra sauce on the side.
