Gotcha Cafe San Diego

The Matcha Smootie was okay (6/10), the Matcha Einspanner was good (8/10) and so was the regular Matcha Latte (8.5/10). The inside of the Cafe is very cute. The online ordering is very confusing tho, it sends you to the Costa Mesa location and the menu is very different.

Amazing Drink, Even Better Service!

I stopped by Gotcha Coffee and ordered their Brown Sugar Milk Tea 🧋and let me just say, it was perfection. The tea-to-milk ratio was flawless, rich and smooth without being too sweet or bland. Not watery like most places! And the boba? 🤌 Just the right texture soft, chewy, and fresh. You can tell they really care about quality here.

But the real MVP of the night was Lynn 💫. I was there from 6–8 PM and this girl was running the whole show register, drink-making, delivering orders all while answering everyone’s questions with so much grace and patience 🙌. I know I asked too many questions 😅 and not once did she seem annoyed. Her professionalism, hustle, and warm attitude were genuinely inspiring.

👏 Kudos to you, Lynn! You’re the definition of stellar customer service. Gotcha Coffee is lucky to have you, and I’ll definitely be back because of you! 💖

Was excited to order the matcha einspanner after seeing many great reviews about it. Multiple people in the store had ordered prior to me and their drinks came out looking amazing. But when mine came out I had some doubts. It had looked nothing like the other orders, and although I picked perfect sweetness it was extremely bitter and powdery. Maybe my drink was just made wrong, but it was really disappointing after paying $8 for one drink.

Ordered Ubelicious(25% sug) and matcha latte(reg sugar)
-ube foam was delicious
-drinks are not too sweet(which i like)
-they use costco oatmilk for the matcha
-matcha flavor was decent, slightly powdery on tongue
-boba too hard/chewy, got even harder after sitting for less than 5 minutes
-they have cool decorations, labubus

It was OK. The Boba was nice and chewy. I got the Matcha because I heard hype about it. It was all right really had no flavor. I like matcha but I assumed that it would have some type of sweet flavor. It just tastes really bland.

If you love matcha, definitely give this place a try. They serve excellent matcha drinks. I had the Matcha Einspanner and it did not disappoint. I also tried the taro drink, which was great as well. The service is super friendly. One tip: avoid ordering boba at the end of the day. It tends to lose its texture and becomes soggy and off-tasting.

I also wanted to review due to the wonderful service. There was a family in the store when we were there. One of the kids lost the crane game and ran out of the store crying. Two of the workers there were so sweet, they went and grabbed a bag of toys from the back, and called out to let him pick out a toy for free. Such a wholesome moment to witness!

Loved Gotcha Cafe! Such a cute store with friendly staff. Really fun having the stuffed animal crane machines. We ordered a strawberry and Paris milk tea and they were super yummy. The store is also dog friendly. Definitely recommend if you are in the mood for some boba tea!

Gotcha café is highly popular among fans in Taiwan. I was excited to give it a try with a friend. I really liked the ambiance. It uses the cute animal as a main theme. We were really impressed by the ambiance. It's centered around an adorable animal theme. You can relax on the sofa with cozy cushions. What a delightful experience!

I ordered the Taro boba tea, my go-to whenever I visit a boba tea spot. They use top-quality ingredients, ensuring the boba tea is super fresh and delicious. I can even customize the sugar level to my liking. Plus, they offer an extensive range of flavors to choose from.

The service was exceptional. When we wanted to take a few selfies in front of the wall art, the manager went above and beyond by coming out and turning on the big light for us to capture the perfect picture.

I'll definitely be back soon. Everything here is superb.

Cute coffee and boba place that was near a place I had lunch at. Seems like a popular place fo the younger crowd. Ordered a coffee milk tea with less sugar to go. Prices were decent and drink was good.

Nice hidden gem in San Diego for Vietnamese Coffee. Tastes great and amazing customer service. I highly recommend.
