0 out of 10 don’t recommend! Pulled pork wasn’t even mediocre. We were served cold macaroni and cheese and beans that, I don’t even know how to describe them. The guy who greeted us, had good vibes.

We stopped off at Grand Ole BBQ today for a spot of lunch.. Lord of mercy this place ROCKED! We ordered the brisket fries, brisket burrito, pulled pork sandwich, Frito pie, and smash burger. The brisket burrito was UNREAL, we’re already planning our next trip.. possibly this evening.. The only let down was that they didn’t have a T-Shirt that would fit my cat.

This spacious, open-air restaurant is perfect for warm summer nights. With plenty of seating and ample space for kids to run around, it’s a great spot for families and large groups. The food is delicious, and portions are generous—so come hungry! I do wish the brisket had a smokier, saltier flavor, but nothing a salt shaker can’t fix. Overall, highly recommended for a casual and enjoyable dining experience.

I tried the 'El Borracho' beef short ribs and 'Pork Borracho Fries. The beef was exceptionally dry and had a peculiar, metallic aftertaste, so bad that I had to return it. The fries, while edible, were bland and uninspired—a generous 2/5. The whole meal felt like a culinary failure. I suspect only being drunk would make this food palatable. I appreciate that they were nice enough to refund me for the short ribs, but overall, I don't recommend it.

Pretty good BBQ overall, worth a trip if you're craving some BBQ. Meat Highlight was the pulled pork and beef ribs, but we actually liked the slaw, beans, and beer better than all of the meat. Service was quick and helpful, and the meeting was cool. Good vibes all around

Expensive leftovers. Over smoked salty. Went on a Tuesday taste and texture seemed like it was cooked 3 days ago. Dry, cold over seasoned inedible.

Brisket didn’t pass the finger test. Overcooked and broke in half. Huge disappointment if you know good bbq. Spareribs were ripping good and mustard/vinegar were top notch.

We've been here twice now. We always try to come earlier in the day because it gets busy pretty soon after opening! We've tried the ribs, the brisket and the sausage. The brisket and the sausage are our favorite meats. We usually get the spicy, sweet and range life sauces which we love. We've found the ribs to be a little tough to eat. Among the sides, we love the spicy slaw, the potato salad and the peruvian white bean salad. On our most recent visit, we got the French fries with the Texas chili and those were out of the world! Definitely getting those again. The ambiance is casual and pretty much everyone here is coming for a good time. Parking the neighborhood is an issue as there is mainly street parking. They have beer, seltzers, and a couple of cider options. Come here for the meats. It is totally worth it. We live in North County but it is totally worth driving down here to have this food.

Serious disappointment. If others give this joint a 4.6 rating, then paying $30/lb for 2 of these fat laden beef ribs aka "Dino bones" by owner must in their opinion be a bargain. Also a bargain must be the $91 bill for 2 beef bones, 6-7 spare ( not baby back) ribs served in a paper french fry container at barely room temp, sides of tasty fries and potato salad ($6 ea), 1 iced tea & a $7.50 glass of Pacifico.

Well there's no accounting for taste, but I can count and for my money where quality of food, dining experience, and respect for my hard earned dollar is concerned, I can do way better for my BBQ elsewhere.

Very good bbq. I would come again. Order at the counter and eat at picnic type tables. Fun outdoor atmosphere. They do have an indoor area to dine in if the weather is bad. Parking is on the street, and can be tough depending when you go. It's essentially a residential area, so during mid day Monday-Friday it's easier to find parking when local residents are away at work.
