Went here with my partner spontaneously and it was AMAZING. We got beef sundubu, galbi, and kimchi jiggae. The galbi was so so delicious. We had a great experience. We will definitely be regulars here from now on.
You need to tell customers, if they stay longer than 90 minutes, to pay for parking, otherwise, you should pay their parking.
not korean but i have a picky vietnamese mother in law! she’s the one who wanted to give this place a five star which is ultra rare given the years that i’ve known her.
we ordered the mul naengmyeon (cold noodles #69), haemul kalguksu (seafood combo noodles #68), ddukbokki (rice cakes #3), and the gaejang (spicy raw marinated crab #46).
the ddukbokki was alright, not too sweet which is a common problem i have with other places. the marinade for the gaejang was delicious. now the dishes that really blew us away for the five stars is the haemul kalguksu and the mul naengmyeong!
the broth is rich in flavor in their own respective ways. the kalguksu broth is warming and rich with flavor, there was a slight sweetness from the seafood in the broth. while the naengmyeon has a refreshing aspect to the broth, with a natural sweetness from the pears added masterfully to the dish.
overall highly recommend! i wish i added photos before i started to pigged out and it was gone before i remembered to take a photo 😅
Wow, my family was seriously disappointed in the food at this restaurant. Everything was too sweet and our drinks were too warm (beer)! Honestly could barely get through the dishes. Not coming back.
They got 7 side dishes and 5 of them are super salty, the tofu soup is very salty too and low quality, employees are friendly and nice but their food isn’t great.
Very disappointed. I would never come back.
Delicious Dolsot Bibimbap and side dishes
One of my favorite Korean restaurants in San Diego. Amazing LA Galbi
Authentic Korean food. This place has been here for decades. San Diego convoy landmark. Food is good. Prices reasonable.
I'd eat here everyday if I could. We had the kimchi pajeon and our little one cleaned it up quick ! The bibinbap was good, but ideally they should have brought everything out in a single large hot stone instead of two bowls, but that's just my preference.
Good place, a little expensive but overall a great place

Ordered combo A with 3 meats. They are all extremely tough. The brisket had no fat on it whatsoever. The grill is electric not real fire. Don't bother with their BBQ. Service is friendly, stew and small dishes are good.
Tofu soup is very strong. The first taste is delicious, but the more eating it, the more greasy, sweet and salty it is. If you enjoy strong taste, you will like it. But I think it will not be healthy for body. It’s both the first and last trial for me.
Long story short: food is just average. The service is “there” for show, but indeed not there
I was in the restaurant for 15 mins, checked on the restroom twice and the doors are locked. Since I was there pretty early, I thought there might be a chance that the restaurant just open and forgot to unlock the door. So I asked the waitress. The waitress confirmed that the restroom is open for use. 2 mins later, she came by and told me restroom is available now. I went there, grab the men’s room’s door - locked. Drab the lady’s room’s door - opened. So I was about to use the lady’s room. I have to clarify here that both men’s and lady’s restroom is only one room, can only be used by one person at a time. And it can be locked from inside. But, the waitress stopped me, saying I cannot use the lady’s room. Well, thank you for letting me know restroom is ready but actually is not. And thank you do much for the flexibility for sticking with your gender restroom rule, even it is for one person.
Then later, I accidentally spilled some soups all over the table. I asked for check and before I can say I also need some napkins, the waitress turned away. She brought back the check, now I got chance to asked for napkins. She came back, with two napkins. Can you imagine trying to stop the soup dripping from the table and clean up my clothes with only two napkins?
BTW, the waitress did stop by during the meal asking if everything is okay. The problem is, when something is NOT okay, she never see it.
Tried lunch here but couldn’t leave without my comment.
Very unprofessional attitude from their elder waitress (sorry not a young girl) gave us rude temper and attitude. Food is okay but not going to recommend. Its better to have bbq.
Ordered Seafood mixed soup, a seafood noodle, and other dishes. The soup is to be cooked on the table top stove. But the stove was not working and the servers did not realize it and asked to use another table in the middle of eating? In this case, other restaurants are using a portable cooker called "blue star". The soup and noodle were very salty, mabe due to MSG. Disappointing visit.
