Great Maple - Hillcrest

We heard about Great Maple from a friend and I’m glad we were able to try it out on our San Diego trip! It is fun restaurant to come to for a yummy brunch/ lunch spot! The portions are large and great to share. Some of the top dishes are the powdered sugar beignets and maple bacon donuts. We had the donuts, the great maple fried chicken sandwich, and the avocado toast. The service was good and they were accommodating. They have seating inside and outside. I would recommend you put it on your list to try!

Absolutely delicious breakfast! Very good service. We were with a small kids and everything went just perfect tho.

Hard to find parking on weekends. Need to wait in line to get in too, because a lot of people want to visit them.

Tried to force us to sit outside when there were 10 tables open on the inside. We were the only minorities in line. Not feeling very positive about how we were treated.

And she didn’t even look me in the eye when she said it or apologize.

the food was incredible. Got the veggie hash, pistachio brie, and a mocha. The mocha was one of the best ive had, very strong, and perfectly sweet. The hash was enough for 2 meals. Service was fast on receiving the food but took a while to get check and card back. Overall excellent food !

We ordered the great maple French toast and fried chicken burger! Both had very generous portions that we couldn’t finish it lol. The fried chicken burger was very crispy, highly recommended

Food was great! But my pancakes didn’t come out with syrup. Had to get up and ask for some syrup. Waitress was sweetish but not attentive. Luckily one of the Managers peeped and tried to tend to us as best he could.

Took forever to get the check. There was a party of four that came in after us, received their food, finished, and got the check to leave before we did.

…. It’s still a cool spot for breakfast tho. I would recommend just coming for take out and skip any awkward encounters.

Best eggs I've ever eaten! Wonderful service! Only negative is that it is very noisy when busy.

This was my first time coming to this restaurant and it was a beautiful experience. The food was excellent and the customer service was great.

10/10! Amazing food, amazing service! I'd say make sure you reserve beforehand because it can get a little crowded on the weekend mornings but they were seating people pretty fast!

We got in right away, we were offered an indie table which was perfect 👌🏼 our server was in a rush always, she never introduced herself we barely had time to see the menu when she was rushing us to order. The food was great and the coffee too small but good. I do recommend this place as this is not my first time there and had better service. The bacon doughnuts are to die for, highly recommended.

Joshua was a great server and kept checking on us periodically to make sure everything was good.

Always an amazing experience here great tasting food. Great service atmosphere is inviting cozy and a place. We look forward to going back to time and time again.
