Greenhaus Vegetarian Eatery

Lazy Indian food, the sauces taste like they come from a bucket. The masala sauce is disgusting and tastes like Campbell's canned tomato soup. The website describes the restaurant as vegan, which it is not, hence the 1 star. Luckily the sushi is decent enough, and on Wednesdays they have more sushi options. We placed an order for delivery and were really disappointed by the food quality. Everything looked and tasted like it was frozen.

Hi, I don't know who picked up the phone when I asked for the types of oil that you use to cook and fry. They keep asking what kind of allergies I have. I have a lot like a lot but I still want to try food and yea. The guy was annoyed just because I kept asking, since listing the things I am allergic to is forever. At the end, he said "good luck finding another type of oil to cook and fry." Sir, there are rice brain and soy bean oil that can fry and many vegan places do. I don't normally do a review but to be disrespect to customer just to ask what type of oils do you use to cook and refuse to tell me until I was annoyed about it as well. If you don't know, it is fine. But please, there are a lot of other people who are allergic to things but willing to try out other places but need to be caution before ordering and come to your place. I hope that you read this messages and be nice to the next customers. This just happened a minute ago on 1/30/25 at 5pm to 2 guys who received my call. I hope the last guy wasn't the owner. Thank you for your time.

Chicken was dry and bland, naan tasted stale and a little burnt. The masala sauce was decent but overall pretty disappointing; especially for the price.

This was just about ok. I was expecting a lot after reading the reviews. Also, initially it said completely Vegetarian, but I could see some menu options which were not Vegetarian. Maybe its a recent change, but it was deceiving.

This place has a nice chill vibe to it but my food idk if it was naan or what but it was pretty bland and my naan was burnt in a lot of places and that just something I can’t stand for.. also it was super hard to eat the food because it was just messy like it was rushed… every single bite I took food just went everywhere if it was finger licking I wouldn’t care.. but I digress not everything was bad. That mango drink is to die for if anything I’d come back just for that.

I ordered catering for a student run event at SDSU (I myself am a student), and had to make an alteration to the order. I called 5min after I had MADE the order (day prior to pick up around 3pm) online and was received by a worker at Greenhaus who had told me that the alteration was completely manageable since it was just a substitution of proteins on their Treena sushi platter (cheese changes to tofu). When I go to pick up the food the day AFTER I see the receipt still says the previous protien choice, and asked if the alteration had been made which it hadn’t. The worker there then became defensive and starts raising his voice to me saying he never got a note or message to change the order. He said it would take him like “an hour to do” so I asked “Okay, would you able to do that then? I can wait the hour”. He again starts raising his voice to me and getting defensive when I wasn’t even giving him a hard time. Since when is management/organization issues the customers fault? Especially with time and notice given?

Drove from North county to support a vegetarian small business and I was horrified by what I experienced. I ordered two items of which one was over salted and inedible. When I brought it up to the one guy behind the counter, he began to rage and started yelling uncontrollably. He was also drenched in sweat and wiped pouring sweat of his face with the same hands he was preparing the food with………. Completely unhygienic and unacceptable behavior.

Loved the place. Very small and cozy. You may have to wait as the service is a little slow. The food is very good and doesn't feel too heavy on the stomach. Their ginger lemonade was so good.
If you're a vegetarian, you'd love this place!

The texture of this food was phenomenal. Light crispy just absolutely ? they lose a point for not having a restroom imo but it took about 5 minutes of me driving around the area to realize there’s a reason this restaurant is kind of set up for you to come in and leave. I’d definitely recommend though

Small and simple kiosk-operated vegetarian cafe. Just go in and order from a small kiosk. A little challenging from a first-time visitor’s experience. Everything is made fresh to order by one guy in the back. (Not a hit, but because it’s a one man show, there’s no greeting or actual customer service. He just can’t do everything). What he does do is cook really tasty food! We ordered the tacos with meatballs, masala fries, nirvana burger with vegan cheese, and treena roll. The food is made with care and absolutely delicious. The nirvana burger has got to be one of the best veggie burgers I have tasted. Very very good. Highly recommend you try it.

Absolutely delicious food! Parked right outside for free. Inside and outside dining. Order for yourself on an iPad. Everything came out fast & we enjoyed everything we ordered. Everything is vegan except paneer. They have a little gift shop too - can buy a tshirt, lentils and tea.
